A Slow Autumn Journey by Local Train | Bessho Onsen, Nagano — Shinshu's Oldest Hot Spring

This time, we're off to Bessho Onsen in Ueda, Nagano!
Riding the Ueda Dentetsu Bessho Line, we took a slow walk through the oldest hot spring town in Nagano ♨️
We visited Kitamuki Kannon and old temples where stone pagodas from the Kamakura period still stand, and enjoyed beef udon at an old-fashioned local diner, plus matsutake mushrooms, the taste of autumn 🍄
Two quiet days in a small onsen town known as the "Kamakura of Nagano."
