An eel with body shape and size that looks like a snake seen from above and through its habitat

The body shape and size of this creature, known as an eel, can resemble a snake as it swims through its habitat in search of prey to hunt. Sometimes it can also be mistaken as a lamprey if its pectoral fins are not visible. This water habitat is a freshwater canal and its home to many animal species.
