Getting the Farm Ready for Winter… Plus 4 Surprise Ducklings!
We hit 1 MILLION views! 🎉 Today at The 10 Acre Woods, we're celebrating a huge milestone while getting the animal rescue ready for the colder months ahead.
Our wool-processing video has officially passed 1 million views, making it the first video on our channel to reach that milestone! Even more amazing, that video has brought thousands of new subscribers to The 10 Acre Woods.
But there's plenty happening around the farm as September moves along. We're preparing the animal buildings for winter, putting up plastic to help protect the birds from the cold, and making sure everyone has plenty of hay and shelter.
We also check in on Holly and Noel, our newer arrivals, who are settling into life with the herd.
And then there are the ducklings! We recently had a surprise duck hatch, leaving us with four little ducklings whose mama has been doing an excellent job raising them around the pond.
You'll also meet some of the other animals during breakfast, including Charlie the pig, Berry the rabbit, the goats, sheep, geese, ducks and chickens.
Tara takes us through the garden as well, where she's harvesting medicinal plants and collecting seeds for next year. The garden has become surprisingly low-maintenance, with many of the perennials returning year after year.
Winter is definitely on its way here in Manitoba, so we're making preparations now before the snow arrives!
