We Rescued 10 BLACK CATS… Here’s Their Story 🐈‍⬛

We have 10 black cats at The 10 Acre Woods! 🐈‍⬛❤️ And every one of them has a story.

In this video, we're introducing you to the black cats that have become part of our family at our animal rescue farm in Manitoba—including Nyx, Inara, Lucifer, Rhea, Tyr, Aurora, Eros, Zorya, Koda… and finally, the 10th black cat, Damon!

Some arrived as kittens, some were strays, and others were rescued from difficult situations. One of our cats, Tyr, was a feral injured cat who was facing euthanasia because he was considered unadoptable. Thankfully, someone knew exactly where he could go—and that brought him to The 10 Acre Woods.

You'll also meet Aurora, Eros and Zorya, three cats that were living around our property and were eventually caught using a live trap and brought into the house. Although they were extremely shy at first, they've learned what affection is all about.

And then there's Koda, our fluffy cuddle bear who appears to have been dumped at our property. We even managed to trace his tattoo back to a family in Winnipeg.

But there's one more cat you've probably never seen in our house…

Our 10th black cat!

Damon was rescued from the farm and eventually ended up living with our son. We even captured him on camera before we caught him—including footage that helped us identify him by the distinctive rounded tips of his ears caused by frostbite.
