We Got Broken Into 5 Days After Leaving the UK

We got broken into just 5 DAYS after leaving the UK in our two-storey ambulance conversion... but HOW they tried to get inside completely caught us off guard. After spending months converting an old NHS ambulance into a 7-berth campervan for our family of 7, we'd finally started our first European road trip. We made it through the UK border, crossed into France and spent an incredible few days in Paris. For the first time, it felt like all the work building our unusual two-storey ambulance camper had been worth it. The kids were loving van life, the conversion was working and we were ready to continue travelling through France. Then everything changed. While we were away from our campervan, someone climbed onto the ROOF of our ambulance and got inside through our pop-up roof tent. We couldn't believe it! How had they got up there? Had they managed to get inside? Was anything missing? And most importantly, did we still feel safe sleeping in the ambulance with our five children? What was supposed to be the start of our family road trip around Europe suddenly left us with a huge decision to make - continue travelling through France or abandon the trip and head back to the UK.
