Can a family of 7 REALLY travel in a two-storey ambulance camper? This week, we're finally putting the ambulance to the test! After months of building a 7 berth camper for our family of SEVEN, we're leaving home for our first proper adventure. The plan is to drive to Dover, stealth camp for the night, get through the border in our very usual ex ambulance and take the ferry out of the UK. Sounds simple... but this is the first time all seven of us have actually travelled and slept in the ambulance together, and we have no idea whether its going to work. Our first night brings storms, a questionable stealth camping spot and very little sleep. Then in the morning, there's another problem - we have to somehow convince border control that the giant yellow ambulance is our family camper! We've spent months wondering whether converting an ambulance into a two storey 7 berth camper was a stupid idea. This trip is where we finally find out.
