🇳🇱 Rotterdam Trams | All the Lines

The tram network in Rotterdam, like a couple other cities in the Netherlands, survived the 1960s car boom and has been in service since its inauguration in 1905. The system currently consists of 9 lines over around 95 km of track which serve the city and its surroundings. There is also a heritage line which only runs in the summer that I was also fortunately able to spot. In classic Dutch fashion the trams are seamlessly integrated with all other modes of transport and generally have priority over all other vehicles making it quite an efficient way to get around the city. Fares are integrated with the metro and buses allowing for all kinds of multimodal trips to be done. The rolling stock consists of purely Alstom Citadis trams since 2014 except the heritage line of course. I think using the trams when in Rotterdam is definitely the best choice, especially for shorter trips within the city proper. Enjoy the video :)
