Trade reports are seriously heating up for the Boston Bruins as Mason Lowry's name
continues to be in reports surrounding the next trade for the Boston Bruins and with many new
names set to make an appearance this season, there is a lot on the table for the future of
this Bruins team and with a major decision coming for Don Sweeney and Marco Sturm. Folks, we're
gonna be breaking it all down here in this video. Before we do get into it, if you haven't already,
be sure to drop a sub here on the channel. We have a lot of stuff coming. A lot of reports
are surrounding Chris Prider right now as he is a free agent and linked primarily to the Boston
Bruins. Mason Lowry is a name that has been in trade conversations that we're gonna be talking
about here today. There is so much and if you want to stay up to date with all of it, be sure
to drop a sub here on the channel. Appreciate all your guys' support as of late. You guys are
killing it. I want to get straight into this and there's been a lot of different things that have
come out over the past couple of days, but going over this. From JaxW, on Tuesday morning, RG's
Jimmy Murphy reported that defenseman Mason Lowry is drawing trade interest ahead of training camp
on September 16th, which is this coming Wednesday. The Bruins are not shopping Lowry, but instead
fielding calls on the defenseman's availability, per Murphy's report, but this has also come out
from a lot of other people, a lot of other sources, which really puts it into a bigger perspective
knowing that it's not just Jimmy Murphy saying this and this all goes back to last season when
Mason Lowry, from the trade deadline on, really felt like he was a candidate to be sent off somewhere
to make some room on this Bruins defense, which, first of all, is being paid a lot and would be
being paid more if we were to see Mason Lowry stick around, but also with the amount of younger
players they have that have a very good chance of having success in the NHL, it may seem like the
right move, and I'm gonna be touching on that here in this video just a moment. Before we do that, folks,
we have a word from the sponsor of this video, Anson Belt & Buckle. You know what ruins a great outfit
really fast? An old, beat-up belt that doesn't fit right. Most guys are still wearing the belt,
stretched out holes that either pin to your waist or snag and just throw off your whole look. That's
why I'm excited to have Anson Belt & Buckle as the sponsor of today's video. Instead of poles,

or the pinned comment, but Mason Lowry is the name once again. Going back to last season,
has been in the rumors. We saw him in reported deals that would ultimately change the way this
defense looked, but we've also seen a lot of different reports surrounding other left-handed
defensemen which would bring in some different names, and we've seen Nikita Zdorov be in trade
rumors as well, that one with Darnell Nurse, which was seemingly ready to go except for Nikita
Zdorov axing that trade himself. There was also some more names like Rasmus Anderson that was
all linked to the Bruins, and it really tells us one thing, and that the Bruins are looking for
another defenseman, and whether that means, you know, shipping someone out, getting another big name,
and using some younger players to fill out the defense, there's a lot of options that the Bruins
do have, but I gotta say one thing, keeping Mason Lowry is not a bad idea, and I think that the
option of a trade is always going to be intriguing, especially for such a young left-handed defenseman
who has been, you know, pretty consistent on the games played, he's not been an injury-prone player
over the last couple of seasons, but 26 points in 73 games played, lost 17 on the season, was
ranked 90, or 89th percentile in blocks with 92 on the season, actually had, you know, ranked 10 in blocks
last year, he is someone that I think at the end of the day, the Bruins don't necessarily need to
move, and that also kind of came up with that original report from Jimmy Murphy, they're not
shopping them, but they're fielding calls, it seems like they want to make a move for a specific name
or someone else to have an option on this team, and one that comes to mind is Frederick Brunette,
someone last year who had an opportunity, is going to have an opportunity going forward, and I think
that specifically Marco Sturm and this team is very, very high on, and right now when we look at
how the depth is looking for the Bruins, especially when it comes down to the defensive side of things,
it will be a bit tough to fit in a few of these younger players, and I think it's something that
once again, they don't want to have happen like we saw with Georgian Bear Club, with Fabian
a pretty solid left side of your defense there, and Charlie McAvoy, Will Borgen,
and Henry Okiaryu on the right side, you have things locked down, you know, you're in a very
good spot when it comes to that, but I mean, maybe you get a little bit more younger on the left side,
whether that means moving Hampus Lindholm, moving Nikitas Zdorov, I think of the three, might be
crazy to say, but I would prefer Hampus Lindholm to be moved of those names, and try to get Frederick
or another defenseman from outside in, but with Mason Lowry, he's at a cheap deal, you know,
when he gets his new contract next season, which he's going to be getting, whether or not it is
going to be, you know, with the Bruins, it's going to be a fairly, you know, decent contract, it's not
going to be anything that is going to hamper the Bruins in any way, they have a lot of cap space,
and I feel like, at least looking at the future, Mason Lowry, being 25 years old, I think there's
a lot of opportunity for him still there, so once again, I think that if the Bruins are actually
looking to trade Mason Lowry, it's the wrong decision, but when you're seeing things like this,
you know, the ability that Mason Lowry has, there's a lot of positives and a lot of negatives,
he's still working out his game in the NHL, he's still only very young, he's only had a few years
here, and I think that when you're looking at, you know, all of these kind of key insights combined,
he is a player that, you know, really can be worked on and become a star even more than he is
at the NHL level, so give me your thoughts on this down below, folks, because obviously, I mean,
when this comes down to it, there's a lot of conversations that are going to be had, but also
a lot of interesting looks I'm saying the Bruins are going to get in terms of trade conversations,
but Don's going to have this to say on the topic as well, so yeah, I mean, there easily could be
another defenseman move, depending on where other teams sit and the conversations I've had,
Charlie McAvoy is not playing the first six games, you just never know between now and when we start
an injury, so with that being said, Don Sweeney saying that another defenseman could be moved,
and you know, easily could be moved, to me, leans more towards Mason Lowry, if there were to be a
name move, but still, I think that they're looking at every other option, they're not just going to
move, they're not just going to move Mason Lowry to move him, I think that's the biggest thing,
and especially looking at, you know, the only very, very few defenseman ads that the Bruins got
this offseason, they still didn't really replenish anything, it's the Connor Clifton and Will Borgham,
that is pretty much it, so give me your thoughts on this down below, folks, what do you think Don
Sweeney's going to do in the trade market when it comes to Mason Lowry in specific, and you know,
I'll throw it out there one more time, not the biggest fan of the idea of just trading Mason
Lowry to trade him, but if you can get value in return, and I mean, we've seen teams like even
the Toronto Maple Leafs linked to Mason Lowry, that's where, you know, we currently stand on
this, how many teams are looking at it, you can get a good deal in return, you make it happen,
I think that's pretty much the simplest way to put it, so folks, give me your thoughts on this
down below, but that is all I have here at this point, if you did enjoy, give it a like, hit the
sub button as well, I'm signing out, thank you for watching, hope you have a great day, see you later.
