Boise Airport officials and dignitaries remember 9/11 on 25th anniversary

25 years ago on September 11, 2001, our nation began a day that was absolutely ordinary. Within a few hours, we were thrown into one of the most tragic days in our history. Today, we gather to remember the 2,977 lives that were taken from us that day. September 11th remains a vivid personal memory. For an increasing number of people who pass through our airport every day, it's an event they know only from history. But at an American airport, the legacy of September 11th is in history. It's all around us. I saw that change in my own life on September 11th. I was a young Air Force pilot. Not long afterwards, I was flying combat missions over Afghanistan.
