25 years after losing her husband on 9-11, a Fairfield woman is keeping his legacy alive
in a very unique way. Frank Recchia joins us with the details.
9-11 may have been 25 years ago, but Patti Lewis, whose husband Adam was in the South Tower when it
collapsed, says time has done nothing to diminish her pain. And you would think after 25 years it
Patti is the founder of the Adam J Lewis Academy in Bridgeport, a non-profit independent day school
with about 200 kids pre-k through eight. It serves as a living legacy to her husband.
For my family and for my children, the idea that the school is here and his name is on it
keeps his legacy alive. Adam was a senior trader at the investment bank KBW.
When he was killed, she was left behind to raise four small kids alone.
A quarter century later, Patti sees Adam's courage, smile and grace in every little face.
And Patti says she does not want her husband to be remembered for the tragic way he died,
but rather for the inspirational way he lived. In Bridgeport, Frank Recchia, News 12.
