ABOUT THIS VIDEO

I made this cold process soap with egg yolk and black pepper. In this video, I share my personal process, from mixing the ingredients to pouring, unmoulding and cutting the finished soap bars.

The finished soap has a smooth, creamy feel with a light texture from the black pepper.

SAFETY NOTE

Cold process soapmaking uses sodium hydroxide (lye), which is highly corrosive if handled incorrectly.

Always:

Wear gloves, safety goggles, and long sleeves.
Work in a well-ventilated area.
Always add lye to water, never water to lye.
Keep children and pets away from your workspace.
Follow proper soapmaking safety practices at all times.
