to a six run down in a Taco Bell parking lot. Instead of hitting the drive
through a man allegedly hit a man riding on his bicycle in Clearmont and
that bike was left a crumbled mess. But somehow the rider survived. Thanks for
joining us here at six. I'm Luanne Sorrell and I'm Jack Royer Fox 35
Stephanie Buffamati is live at the restaurant on Hammock Ridge Road. Right
now, Stephanie, police say the victim was just minding his own business at
the time.
That's exactly right. Police say he was riding his bicycle out of this Taco
Bell parking lot when the driver hit him, they say on purpose. We spoke with
people who work nearby, were completely shocked to hear of this
intentionally is crazy to go out of your way to put somebody in danger like
that. Clearmont police say Tyler Sandor intentionally drove his car into
someone on their bike in this Taco Bell parking lot Sunday. Officers say
they knew each other but we're not sure what their relationship is. Sky Fox
shows how the parking lot leads into U. S. Highway 27, which is a busy road
here in Claremont. Sandor was arrested for aggravated battery with a deadly
weapon and hit and run with property damage. Claremont PD says he took off
after hitting the cyclist. But the mascot police department quickly found
the car and he was arrested. Carmen, you get what goes around comes around.
You know, police say the cyclist's bike was completely destroyed. But
amazingly, they only had minor injuries and didn't have to go to the hospital.
God bless. He's all right, you know, able to walk away from something so
crazy. And I did go inside the Taco Bell, asked them if they had any
statements, anything to add any more information. But they said they couldn't
comment on the story per store policy reporting live in Claremont. Stephanie
