The first movement of Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 in C minor, "Allegro con brio," is an iconic and instantly recognizable piece of music. Liszt, with his exceptional piano technique and innovative approach to composition, successfully translates the symphonic texture and intensity of the original orchestral work into a virtuosic piano transcription.
The "Allegro con brio" movement is characterized by its driving rhythm, dramatic contrasts, and triumphant melodies. Liszt skillfully captures these elements, recreating the symphonic energy on the piano, showcasing the instrument's capabilities and expressive range.
On this day I would have liked a much wider lens than the Fujinon 16mm 1.4, if such a thing existed, without the typical distorted edges of a fisheye lens. Because I would have loved to capture more of the sky over Lake Brienz. The drifting clouds against the very blue sky were captured by Simone Schlegel with a Fujifilm X-H2S in the Bernese Oberland, Switzerland, in 2023. The video was edited by Wenjing Ma.
