All right now to that wild turn of events on the blue route in Delaware
County. Police say two men are in custody tonight after a crash and
stabbing on 4 76 that led to a police chase near Villanova University. Police
say the man accused of the stabbing then fled in a U haul truck before being
arrested. R Kelly rule has the very latest tonight from Rosemont.
This all came to an end here at the Sunoco County line and Lancaster
Avenue is certainly a scary situation for neighbors who had no idea what was
going on. State police are investigating. I knew something was
serious. Something was very serious going on to see something like that. A
U haul surrounded by Pennsylvania State Police and other agencies at the corner
of Lancaster Avenue and County Line Road in Rosemont tonight. Neighbor
Devlin Welsh says she took this picture of officers surrounding a man sitting
on the steps outside the Sunoco and 7 11 and also took this picture of a U
haul with its back door open. You had a suspect, you know, on the run and
thank God, you know, the police officers found him and um you know, put
it to an end. The U haul was pursued here by state police. Police say after
the U haul driver allegedly stabbed the driver of another vehicle after they
were involved in a crash in the southbound leads of 4 76 around 5 30
this evening. Radnor Township police say they located the driver on Lancaster
Avenue and took him into custody. He allegedly dropped the knife nearby and
police say another man was taken into custody at a nearby park. Villanova
University and Bryn Mawr Hospital among others went into a lockdown, but those
were lifted once both individuals were taken into custody. Police say there is
no longer a threat to the community. It's terrifying that um you know, to
hear something like that, especially, you know, so close to where you live,
this is something that I would never expect. It's just, it's not worth it.
Like, you know, the road rage is just crazy. It's just not worth um, you
know, dealing with something like that. The U haul was towed from the gas
station earlier tonight. Police have not provided an update on exactly what led
to the stabbing or on the stabbing victims condition reporting in Rosemont.
