Well, Fox 26 is your Gulf Coast Weather Authority. Meteorologist John Dawson is
joining us with the first look at the forecast. So what can we expect Labor
Day wise? Yeah, well, for Labor Day, we'll probably have the warm conditions
like we'd expect to have for this state and some isolated chances for some rain
will still remain in the forecast. We certainly saw some showers across the
area today and we also saw those warm temperatures. We'll start with our
highs. These are actually pretty close to the seasonal numbers we'd expect to
find 92 degrees for this date. If you look back at the 30 year average, so we
were in that ballpark officially will put down 93 degrees for Intercontinental
Airport. I'm gonna show you up here the last 24 hours of rainfall that we've
seen. And what I really want you just to note is that there's quite a bit of
rain. There's a few spots that didn't see the rain, but I would say at least
half of us saw rain within the last 24 hours. I think our coverage for tomorrow
will be slightly less, so we'll still have quite a bit of rain at times, but
it's not an all day washout. It's these showers that kind of move on through
maybe a little brief downpour. Just keep that in mind as you're making your
outdoor plans, and that does include your plans for Monday as well. We'll
talk about temperatures. We'll talk about the tropics and the seven day
forecast coming up.
