20-year-old woman critically injured after North Seattle shooting

Police are investigating a shooting late last night that injured a 20 year old woman in Northgate. Sean Chitnis live this morning with the latest from that scene, Sean. Well, john, we did get an update from Harborview Medical Center. They tell us that that 20 year old woman is still in critical condition in the I. C. U. In fact, and so that shooting happening not too far from where I'm standing just on the other side of Aurora here, you might be able to see in the distance where 127 is by that blue building there. We are told that's where the shooting happened around 11 p.m. Last night when police arrived, they found that woman had been shot in the stomach. Both officers and the Seattle Fire Department provided aid on scene until she was able to be transferred to Harborview again in critical condition at the time. That's what she remains in this morning. S. P. D. Says that there was a fight between the victim and a man at a nearby hotel, but the two left the scene separately. Police say that that man then later pulled up on the woman here along Aurora Avenue in a black S. U. V. And shot her before leaving westbound on North 127th Street. Police are still looking for the suspect. We don't have any description on him either. Detectives with the gun violence reduction unit are working to learn more about what led up to this shooting.
