Forever Home Friday: FOX 5 Zip Trip National Harbor

It's time for Forever Home Friday, and we have Marilyn, we have Romero, we have Cleveland, we have Ernest, you know Taylor, and we're going to meet the rest of the crew here in just a second. But Marilyn, I want to start with you first of all. You guys just, you had a big event to try to get as many dogs adopted as you could. You still have a lot of dogs, right? We do. We have over 300 animals currently at the facility, but we had a really big eventful event on August, and we were able to adopt over 200 animals. Oh, that's fantastic. Fantastic. So Taylor, I'm going to start with these couple, and then you can take the ones on the end. Who do we have here? Who's this little guy that you have with you here, Marilyn? Okay, so this is Winky Chula. She is a four-year-old Chihuahua that came in as a stray. And she actually only has one eye, so we're surprised that no one was out with her. Good temperament though? She does really well? She is a Chihuahua, but yeah, she's a very, she's a good Chihuahua. If you have a Chihuahua, you know what you're getting at. Exactly. Look at how cute that little face is, which is awesome. Now, Cleveland is at the opposite end of the spectrum here, because we go from a tiny little one here to two really big ones, right? Well, who do we have with Cleveland here? Okay, so we have Berlin and Frankfurt. They are King Korsos, both males, and they were actually found as strays in an apartment complex, and so I'm just wondering how they were both brought. In an apartment? Exactly. They are in the apartment, right? Exactly. Pretty good size. So ideally for them, and you want them to stay together, right? Yes, they are bonded. They are a bonded pair. They are a bonded pair, which means that they have to be adopted out together. So ideally for them, you want a lot of space. Yes. So they're good. Both over 120 pounds. And Cleveland, you're getting a workout. Walk with him. There you go. He's got himself right now. Taylor, who do you have over there? Oh, we're going small again. Who do we have here? This is De Niro. It's a Yorkie poodle mix. Oh my goodness. Sweet little guy here. He is a true sweetheart. He's a cuddler. I can already tell. He's kind of like my dog, Lily. Yes. He's a cuddler. He's a friendly dog. So what's his story? Owner surrendered. Owner couldn't deal with him. He's crazy. But hey, he just needs a little training. He's a little sweetheart. He's about one year old, right? Yes, ma'am. Oh, I want to come see you. All right. Who do we have here? This is Oscar. Oscar is a purple terrier. He's been here at the shelter for a little while, but trying to get him his forever home. How old is he? He's about five years old. Oh. Yes. And what kind of homeboy do you think he'd be out of? I would probably say somebody that got energetic. He has a lot of energy. Yes. A very good dog. All right, Steve. We'll send him back over to you. All right, Taylor. Thanks very much. Listen, last but certainly not least, we can't do a Further Home Friday segment without our good friend Seth Price from Price Vedowitz, who makes it happen all the time. You've seen him on TV, but more importantly, we see the dogs that you were able to sponsor to bring to us on TV. Oh, we love it. This is Scout, my dog, and our crew mascot. And we love Fox 5 and these Zip Trips. And the fact that we're able to get some dogs adopted here is just wonderful. You know, as a family, it's just wonderful. And so we love the fact that you guys are out here making sure we get as many dogs adopted as possible. Well, Scout's got to love it, too, because he gets to meet some new friends out here as well and be a part of the element. And we actually had somebody who just came up to me with their dog and said, we just had our dog on TV as part of the showcase that you provide, which was great to be able to meet them in person after seeing them on TV. Well, it's great. You know, it's like when you sign up for something, but when you see people that are out there in the community. And let's hope a couple of these guys get adopted today. Let's do it. All right, Seth, thank you very much. We appreciate your support of Fox 5. Maryland, if folks see something that they love, how do they get in touch with you? Yes, they can call our facility at 301-780-7200. They can also go on our website, PennShortestCountyMD.gov slash animal services. All right, website's on the screen right now. We're going to take a short break. Much more from National Harbor coming up. We're here until 11 o'clock. Bring your dog if you want. And we'll see you in just a little bit.
