Hey everyone, happy Friday. We're kicking things off with a live camera overlooking South Mountain.
It's dry, it's quiet, and it's calm out there. A calm start to our Friday
with a slight chance for some rain showers developing later on, mainly after 2 o'clock this afternoon.
But after yesterday's overnight storms, things are looking pretty quiet and also cooler.
85 degrees here in Phoenix, just about. We have 65 out in Prescott, 60s out in Kingman.
Show low as well, showing off at 63, 68 out in Sedona, 87 in Gila Bend.
However, moisture levels, they're very high. You can see our dew point is at 68, just about.
We've had moisture coming in from Hurricane Marie, and it looks as though
more moisture may be reaching us for some parts of the state starting tomorrow.
But right now you can see just statewide speaking, those moisture levels are pretty high,
even towards high country as well. Right now we're looking at some 50s and near 60s as well.
Speaking of the high country, if you're headed up north, Sedona looking sensational.
We're looking at mostly sunny conditions, temperatures in the 80s by Labor Day Monday,
92 degrees out in Prescott. We're also looking at nothing but 80s across the board.
And again, some chances for some moisture developing, which we are going to be showing you in just a bit.
Of course, we are tracking Hurricane Marie.
That could be bringing in some more moisture, tracking further across the west end.
But right now, take a look at radar, what we saw the last couple of hours.
Again, across the East Valley areas such as Mesa, Gilbert, Apache Junction.
We're hit with some alpha boundaries that brought us just some isolated showers.
The rest of the valley was looking pretty dry, and the rest of today is looking pretty dry,
or I should say this morning. As we continue on, we may see near pace in some isolated showers.
Nothing too major when it comes to that happening.
Again, after 2, 3 o'clock, there's our clock time down at 4.
We could see some showers trickling through, increasing clouds coming in from the south near Tucson as well.
And as we progress further into the start of this weekend, there you have it.
We got some remnants from Hurricane Marie.
That's going to be moving across Southern California.
If you're going to be heading in that direction, definitely be prepared for some winds ramping up.
And you can see pushing up north across southwestern areas of the state.
We do have those rain chances developing across western Maricopa County.
That's Saturday, 3 o'clock, just about.
Things are looking to be a little bit on the wetter side.
And as we continue on into Sunday, we'll do have some more chances mainly further up north.
You can see areas near Page may see some moisture as well.
But in the valley, things are looking quite dry in nature and cooler.
102, that is a high for today, not too high considering the norm.
It's sitting at around 104 degrees.
84 tonight here in Phoenix.
We'll have 60s in Prescott, 50s in Flag, 67 out in Sedona.
With that 10-day foxcast, this holiday weekend will be pretty nice, not too bad.
So by Monday, Labor Day, temperatures right around normal.
Just a slight bump in those temperatures by Tuesday.
And then just taking a look at next week, temperatures cooling down and dropping down.
Maybe some more rain chances.
