These storms, they are still moving through Arizona,
dumping some very heavy rain,
bringing some significant hail to parts of Flagstaff.
In fact, we did see one person had
a report of almost two inches in diameter.
Yeah, this storm is definitely packing a punch.
Let's get to our Megan Spector live there now.
Megan, what are you seeing at this hour?
Hey, good afternoon.
Well, we are in Flagstaff, about 10 minutes from downtown Flagstaff.
It's not raining right now, but the roads here,
still very slick as we were driving in.
Visibility was low. Rain was coming down pretty hard.
Take a look at this video. Flagstaff has already seen heavy rain
and dark clouds throughout the morning.
The National Weather Service has a tornado watch that's been issued
for most of northern Arizona, including here in Flagstaff.
It's in effect until six tonight, like Ashley said,
for Coconino, Mojave, Navajo and Yavapai counties.
There's also that flood watch for northern and central Arizona.
That's through tomorrow night. The National Weather Service
is warning of possibility of flash flooding and flooding in general.
But also check out this video, Flagstaff also got golf ball-sized hail.
The Coconino County Emergency Management
Department sent us the following statement.
It says, in part, while tornadoes are rare in Coconino County,
we maintain a strong all-hazards readiness posture
for emergencies of any kind.
We've been driving around northern Arizona all morning.
We stopped in Belmont, which is just west of Flagstaff, earlier today
and talked to folks driving through about what they've seen today.
My niece was watching this on radar because she's in Tennessee.
that's where we're going and she sent us the map
and said oh you might want to pull over before
you get to blah blah blah well we were behind it
so it worked out perfect several alerts for
tornado warnings actually from roughly one this morning i think a three
and we just had one here
just about a couple hours ago since we've
been driving around northern Arizona we haven't seen
any major flooding but we are keeping
a very close eye on the weather up here of course our
team in studio is as well
but for now we're live in Flagstaff, Megan Spector, Fox 10 News
