New Florida homeowners find 300-pound alligator outside home

A couple from Philadelphia, new to Palmetto, Florida, had a startling encounter with a 300-pound, six-foot alligator that settled next to their golf cart. Unfamiliar with the local wildlife, the husband attempted to nudge the animal away with a pool noodle. The alligator was eventually safely captured and relocated by professional trappers.
