In this video I share my honest first impressions of the Redragon Draconic K530 RGB — a 60% compact wireless mechanical gaming keyboard with brown tactile switches, hot-swappable keys (it even ships with spare brown switches and key pullers), Bluetooth 5.0 that pairs with up to three devices, USB-C wired mode, and RGB backlighting with 18 lighting modes. I go hands-on with the build quality, the typing feel and sound, the tiny form factor, the lighting and macro controls, and I pair it with a phone to make sure it works. I also cover the one thing that turned out to be a dealbreaker for me as a software engineer — the missing dedicated arrow keys on this 60% layout — while being fair that plenty of people will love this board. These are impressions, not an expert breakdown.

what's up guys in this video I'm going to share this draconic keyboard I think
it's made by red dragon if I'm correct I'm probably correct and but let's call
them just draconic and they are red dragon see right here because I used one
of their other keyboards as well which was a full mechanical keyboard this is
one is also mechanical keyboard with brown keys and brown I really say that
they are in the middle and blue keys are the clickiest brown are the tactile in
between and then you have the linear one red it's model number is this in case
you're wondering and I actually ordered myself but never got to use it from day
one because there was deal breaker inside it that I couldn't accept due to
my field and then I had to go with another keyboard which for which I also
made a video by the way it was MX mechanical keyboard mini for Mac so but
this one the keyboard itself was beautiful that's just I will explain
the issue with it once I open it up so that you I can tell you guys so this one
is not nothing review I actually try to stay away from most of the reviews
these are just impressions I'm no expert in these things so this is the keyboard
very compact and even in my hat let's check the scale of it how much in terms
of height what in depth it is and then this one so maybe I can get your
measurement as well but before that let's see you have some documentation
these are pullers to pull the keys out you have a USB type A to type C good
quality cable angle type C so you can easily plug it in so it will go inside
it like this and you can also use this type C to actually control it so like
this so they have paid attention to the design and everything came in a good
packaging of its own very solid see very solid material however even the look at
the bottom of these feet they are rugged with some carbon fiber style patterns
what is this for so that it doesn't slide draconica name its name is draconica
it's made by red dragon model number is K530 RGB and it's an RGB gaming
keyboard mechanical tactile see see this the feeling it's just too compact for my
hands but feel the feeling let me bring it closer only the people who actually
use mechanical keyboards can appreciate this kind of sound and then the problem
the problem was the problem was the arrows so I need arrows and I use them a
lot I am a mobile developer a software engineer which is also not true these
days because of AI but anyway so these are their arrows arrow left arrow this
arrow that arrow that okay that can't be acceptable you need to press shift this
this so anyone who uses a lot arrows a lot it's not for that person and also I
think it's smaller for my hands I do use a hand rest so that works let me
give it height because maybe that's the reason still but I love it sound see I
can't even type it correctly I'm just trying to write my name but overall these
have a very good travel distance can I show you see very tricky sound very
solid feel and let me open it up to show you what's inside this one these
are extra keys that they have sent with these these are again brown keys that I
mentioned this is what's happening inside it so this is the brown and extra
keys that they have sent in case some of the keys stop working they are so I have
shared the pullers video okay the key to pull the key caps out and again this is
RGB so why not so you have on off then you have three Bluetooth connections so
it can connect up to three and this is the bleeder collection button this is
the battery button so let's turn it on does it have battery it does and it is
giving the Bluetooth indicator that it is not connected to any and this is the
slider that you will use to connect it with different Bluetooth variants or
sorry Bluetooth devices 1 2 3 you can also connect it with type C and it has
RGB so let me turn off the lights there you go and look at that I think you can
increase its brightness as well it has different patterns the one that I
previously used has this home let me see which one is it I actually forgot which
button was it that triggered the change in the lighting since I switched with it
so this is FM this is magic FM what was the button again this one is for
what is this for did it change color I actually don't know it also has macros
by the way I'm just trying to find out these g1 g2 g3 are the macros I think it
was home but I don't know why it is not working okay I think I just found out
it's listed here it's Fn plus 9 so it's different than the other keyboard Fn 2
I think it's Fn 2 plus 9 and it changed and now you have a different color
different color so they say that you're in total you have 18 different
variations but overall I think the keyboard itself is beautiful it is too
compact for me the arrows and mist mixed in buttons I don't like them but
there are bunch of combinations I'm pretty sure there are people who would
really like it I'm trying to find a pattern which when you press it expands
from there so let's see it's not there it's not there it wasn't there in my
previous keyboard and then you have different others so you have Fn plus 0
to turn off backlighting so if I do like this so it turns off and then you have
Fn 2 plus brightness five total levels plus minus so if you do plus it
increases it and then it decreases it so yeah Fn 2 plus minus it has five
brightness levels if you press Fn 1 plus escape key it resets and those
kind of things and again you guys will figure it out if you're buying it but
this one was just look and feel and tactileness of this one and its ability
to be this compact and beautiful even in this tiny little form factor and the
solid build let's quickly connect it with a phone just so we know that it
works so let's open Bluetooth let's go to here and let's see let's switch to
something else okay so its name should be B3 but for some reason it is not
showing up okay there you have it Draconic 3 let's pair it let's type the
notes oh it has already recognized it that you have a keyboard paired so soft
keyboard is not showing up let's type Samsung notes I didn't do that I think
there is a notes application there you are and let's create a new note and say
draconica draconica red dragon XYZ model right I'm not sure if you guys
even are able to see it hello world so okay working just fine
all right this was the review of draconica model and its model number I
already told you and you will probably find it on the title but let me show you
again k530 RGB draconica made by red dragon uses Bluetooth 5.0 RGB mechanical
keyboard brown key is 350 mAh battery not sure how much that is no that's
actually power not battery may sorry for the confusion
overall good keyboard a lot of deal-breakers comes in a good packaging
and everything but these arrows a lot of people use them and not having them like
this it's a big deal breaker I think for many very few people will actually
not want these arrows to be separate buttons okay anyway guys this was the
draconica XYZ model and let me know guys what you think of it and take care
yourself bye
