Video Summary
AI GeneratedThis video provides a detailed tutorial on a card trick called \"Whispers\" by John Mendoza, as performed by Andy Field. The trick involves forcing three specific cards on a spectator and using a series of deceptive maneuvers and \"whispering\" queens to reveal those cards, ultimately culminating in a surprising transformation where the queens turn into the four aces.
Hello again everybody.
A lot of you have been asking for a little bit more advanced card tricks.
This is an amazing card trick performed by Andy Field Magic.
It's called Whispers by John Mendoza.
Andy Field has a great performance.
You guys check out his performance first, then come back and I will show you how the
trick is done.
Okay, for this trick you're going to need a setup.
First you're going to need three cards that you're going to remember.
I'm going to be using the three of clubs, four of hearts, nine of spades.
You can remember any number of cards you want.
This is clubs, hearts, spades, chased, and three, four, nine.
Then you want to take out the four aces and the four queens.
So first you want the three, four, nine or the three cards you select on top of the deck.
Then you're going to take the four aces in any order.
Take one of the aces.
Well, first take all four aces and put a little bend in the aces.
Then flip one of the aces over and set them on top.
So now you've got your three choices, three aces, and a face down ace.
You'll see why I put the bend in the cards a little bit later.
Then choose any two queens as long as they're opposite colors, a black and a red queen.
Set them on top and then set these on top of the deck.
And now we want to set these two queens in the deck anywhere you want.
So one in the middle and one right near the bottom.
So now we're ready to go.
So the first thing we want to do is we want to force the three of clubs, four of hearts,
and nine of spades on the spectator.
So we do a swing cut and catch a pinky break and do a riffle force.
Have them say stop.
Wherever they say stop, you put down the three of clubs, the four of hearts, and the nine
of spades.
Then you say we're going to use the help of the four queens.
And as you're going through the deck, you're going to be looking for the queens and you
can have the spectator check that it's a normal deck.
You set the first queen down face up.
When you find the second queen, what you want to do is you want to set it on top of the
first queen and you want to out jog it just a bit.
Just right below the cue so you want to have that queen away from you.
Then you're going to look for the third queen.
Now when you find the third queen, the fourth queen is going to be directly below it.
And directly below that is going to be a face down card so you do not want to expose that
or flash that.
So you take the third queen, set it down exactly the same way as you set down the second queen.
Then what you do for the fourth queen, or what Andy does, is he says I'm using real
cards as you can see, but I'm using magic hands.
And he uses this opportunity when he says magic hands to transfer the card just like
that and set the last queen down right over here.
Then what you do is you take this pack of cards, set it on top of the deck and these
are the four aces.
So when you close it, you push up and you catch a thumb break.
Just like that.
A four card thumb break and you transfer that to a pinky break.
Then what you're going to do is you're going to pick up the four queens and you're going
to say these four queens, and you're going to set them on the side of the deck right
here, are going to help me find these three cards.
So that's how you have an excuse for setting the queens on the deck is you point to these
three cards.
Then you're going to push the queens in so it hits your thumb and you're going to flip
over the whole block.
That's these four aces underneath and the queens.
So flip over the whole block.
Then you're going to close it.
So this one queen that's in jog, the very first one you set down, you're going to lift
up and as you close it, you're going to lift up and catch a break right there.
Now you've got those cards and you're going to take them off the deck and these are the
five cards.
You've got the queen and you have the four aces.
The spectator is going to think you have the four queens.
Now you're going to say the queens are going to whisper to me the identity of these cards.
So you set the whole pack on top of the first card and you say this queen is telling me
that this card is the three of clubs.
You flip it over and you show that it's the three of clubs.
What you're going to do now is you're going to pull down that queen and you're going to
flip over the whole block.
That's all five of these cards as one card.
So you're going to pull down that queen, say it's the three of clubs, flip them all over
and set down one card which is supposed to be the three of clubs but it's your first
ace.
Flip the whole pack over and say the second queen is telling me that this card is the
four of hearts and you flip the cards over.
Now what you want to do is you want to catch a break above two cards.
So you want to pull two cards down and you want to flip over the whole pack which is
four cards.
Now you cannot set this card down just like this because you're going to expose a face
up ace.
So what you want to do is as you're setting this card down you want to flip the pack so
the queen is now face up.
So again, you flip the cards over, now you want to set this card down and you flip the
queen over at the same exact time.
And now you say the last queen, we're going to find the last card, we set it on there
and this queen is telling me that that card is the nine of spades and you flip it over
to show it's the nine of spades.
Now what you want to do is you want to push the top corner down because you have six cards
here, three of them are face down, three of them are face up and remember your aces are,
some of them are concave, some of the cards are concave, some are convex.
So by pushing down it should allow you to easily get that three card, the three cards
with a pinky break.
Pushing down so you can do a three card, flip over and set down what appears to be the third
card but it's really the third ace.
Now you're going to show that you have four cards, you actually have five by doing an
Elmsley count.
So you're going to show one, block, push off the rest, two, then three and you're going
to catch a little break right there and then four because now you're going to do a double
lift and show queen and say that this queen is going to now set it down here and you're
going to lift up an ace by tapping the queen on the three selections right here.
You set it down.
You say that the selections, now you flip the cards over in your hand, that the three
selections have now come into your hands and you can show the three selections but right
behind there is a queen and then you show the selections just like that, one, two, three,
say and set them on top of the deck and say and if the three selections are over here
then over here must be the four queens and then you reveal that it's actually the four
aces.
So I think this is a brilliant, amazing effect.
I loved Andy's spin on this.
He's great.
He does a brilliant performance.

That's it.
