The down jumper is born, Fox 40's on my Canyon Stitched 720 transforms this bike into a downhill beast! How well will it work at Bike Park Wales?
Downhill bikes are unbeatable on DH tracks and dirt jump bike are unbeatable on jumps so if we merge the two bikes together we get a Down jumper bike! So today i'm at Bike Park Wales in search of some mixed terrain to shred this weird bike down, we start off on some technical black trails before hitting jumps and getting tricky, would you ride this?

The video features a custom \"down-jump bike\"—a hybrid combining a dirt jump bike (Canyon Stitched 720) with downhill components (Fox 40 forks). The rider tests this experimental build at Bike Park Wales, navigating a variety of terrain from massive jumps and technical black runs to red trails to see if the hybrid approach creates the ultimate bike park machine.
This is a down-jump bike.
So downhill bikes are unbeatable on downhill tracks, obviously,
but jump bikes are unbeatable on jumps.
So if we merge them both together into a down-jump bike,
could this be the sickest kind of bike for a bike park?
26-inch wheels, Fox 40s on the front, front and rear brake.
We got a sketchy but fast rolling dirt jump tyre on the rear,
grippier front tyre.
And I think this might be the sickest day of my life.
We're at Bike Park Wales.
We're about to get into the action.
Here we go.
First test for the down-jump bike.
It works quite good.
I can't really see much.
Into the jumps.
Okay, this might be the best thing on earth.
Wow.
Bumpy track.
Yes, please.
Oh, that is so good.
All right, let's go and catch the uplift,
get to the top and ride some black runs.
We're at the top and ready to find some black tech runs for this beast,
but I can't go past this jump and not give it a backflip in the rain.
Let's slow-mo.
Hands are a bit sweaty about gloves.
They fell off mid-air.
This jump's actually sick.
Such a nice warm-up in the bike park,
because this is right at the top,
so when you get dropped off with the uplift,
this is basically the first thing you can sesh.
So that's ticked off as a banger.
The bike is literally the sickest dream I've ever had,
and I'm living in the dream.
So it's time to find a technical black section
and just sort of potter down,
probably fairly slowly, actually,
but could be enjoyable.
Let's go.
Here we go.
Into a techie black.
That's what it says, anyway.
Whoa.
Bit flat at the moment,
but hopefully we're going to get into some sketchiness down here.
Oh, my God.
When is that quick?
Oh, my God.
Wow.
Freeriding that.
So good.
It's like a mix of streets and downhill.
Whoa, my God, that is sketch.
Yes.
Whoa.
Yes, dreams.
Oh, sketchy sections.
This thing is so good.
Oh, wow.
That was sick.
It feels so good to be in the air on this thing,
on a downhill track.
We're going to blast all the way now.
Whoa.
Yes.
What a machine.
Here we go.
Into Martian.
Pretty techie one,
especially on this thing.
Whoa, I'm all over the place.
Oh, this is just...
Oh, oh, my God.
I thought I was going into that tree.
Wow, sketchy.
This thing is definitely harder than a real downhill bike.
Wow, that was so gnarly.
Into this sick jump section.
Dreams.
This is insane.
Whoa.
Wow, what a trail on this thing.
That was a sick mix.
Yo.
We've had to rush back to the van.
It is so hot and sweaty and damp.
We're back up again.
We've come to A470.
This is like the infamous jump line here at Bike Park Wales.
I've changed.
I was so boiling.
I'm actually quite weak.
We've done two days here at the bike park,
two separate videos.
We're going to cruise down.
I mean, this bike is actually so enjoyable.
It shouldn't be that fun.
The geometry has been completely changed,
obviously, with the big forks,
but it's cool.
So, Louie, you want to follow me through this?
Yeah, follow you down.
All right.
Louie's got the mishwan on his helmet.
Proper mishwanning.
Here we go then.
Down jumper.
So sick, actually, on this thing.
Yeah, Louie.
Oh, new section.
Forgot about that.
Oh, it's sick.
Yes, down jumper session.
Yes, please.
It works the dream.
Roller double, roller double.
I think we got a new one up here as well.
Let's immediately snick it, Louie.
I don't know what this is.
But it says inspect before you ride, apparently.
Now, uh-oh.
This could be puncture city for these small jump tyres.
Oh, goodness gracious.
Double.
Yes, please.
The down jumper is just loving life.
Oh, this is cool.
That's like a little bonus section.
Let's do what's occurring.
Nice.
Here we go, what's occurring.
Red run.
Quite nice on the dirt jump downhiller.
Where's Louie?
Slow up a bit.
Yes.
Whoa, this is a cool one if you knew the actual ways to go.
This thing's actually sick, though.
Oh, god.
Death section.
That was too much for this thing.
Where's Louie?
I've done him on the slope bike.
Done him.
How's that arm pump?
Yeah.
Is that what's occurring?
Yeah.
All right, we've made it to the finale, Louie.
This is back where we started, Zutolaurs.
But you can follow me now for fun.
Yeah.
Just going to cruise through, hit the jumps,
and celebrate a day of a downhill jump bike.
A down jumper.
Come on, then.
Down jumper.
Shreddage.
So fun.
There we go.
We just finished the sesh on the down jumper.
That was so fun.
Canyon Stitch 720 with the Fox 40s on the front.
Very enjoyable.
Would it win a downhill race?
No.
Would it win a jump race?
Would it win a slope style?
No, because you can't do tail whips.
Is it actually good?
Not really.
But it was well fun and very sketchy on some of the technical stuff.
Probably be really fun if a group of you had them,
and you came in when it was wet with these same small dirt jump tires on.
And I do have to say, I can't believe I didn't get a puncture today.
That's quite impressive, really, isn't it?
With these single ply lightweight folding tires.
There we go.
That's the end of the sesh.
Cheers, Bikepark Wales, for giving us two sessions the last days.
Super fun here.
Come and check it out if you haven't been.
See you in the next one.
