I headed out to the iconic Adams Acres MX to check out some of the new jumps Adam built, and of course I had to be the first rider to test them out and hit them!
I started out on the Stark Varg at 80HP, throwing some huge whips and ripping the corners alongside Jay Dalton. After that, I busted out the YZ250 2-stroke and turned things up even more.
Things almost went really bad when I nearly ran out of gas and came way too close to a certain disaster 😬. Definitely not something I planned on happening, but that's moto sometimes!
This was an awesome day of riding with some new jumps, big whips, 2-stroke chaos, and a few sketchy moments. Hope you guys enjoy this one!
Nick visits Adams Acres to test out a partial track rebuild. Alongside Jay Dalton, Nick evaluates new jumps and dirt conditions, providing \"guinea pig\" testing for the track owner, Adam. The day consists of sizing up new obstacles, towing nervous riders over jumps, and high-energy riding sessions to refine the track's flow.
He's number one right now for whips.
I think the Tomasunas.
Tomasunas, that guy is sick.
The progression of Nick Tomasunas' whips is f***ing sick.
Dude, rips, bike controls on wheel.
To see the progression, I'm like, dude, he's amazing.
Today, we're out at the very famous Adams Acres.
He's got a full, I don't want to say a full, but he's got a partial track rebuild.
Beefed up a lot of the jumps.
Everything looks super sick.
Made some changes.
Dirt's going to be prime.
We've got Jay Dalton out here as well.
It's going to be an epic day.
I'm going to get honors of, it seems like, first tires on the track.
Let's go check it out, eye up some of these new jumps, and have some fun.
And before we get started in this video, just a reminder, 15% off literally everything
on the 100% website.
Use my code NICK15.
And as I'm sure you guys have seen it by now, on my bar pad, Icon Meats.
Best snacks in the game.
Super clean, high protein, and even some of the top pros, if you're paying attention,
have been eating them.
Seriously, though, awesome product and awesome company.
Check them out if you haven't already.
Now, let's hop on board.
Alright, first lap, got a fairly fresh track here, so take it easy, get comfortable, make
sure to check out all the changes, and start ripping.
Sizing up this new jump, it's about the same distance as the old one, but the landing's
bigger, so got to take a few runs and get comfortable.
Yeah, we got that.
Easy, pretty sick.
This one will probably be more difficult.
See, bounce that thing.
Let's hit it real quick.
I'd be sick to jump here, double in, yeah.
Seems a little bit bigger of a lip, or I need a clutch.
Dude, this track is so sick, and the dirt's insane today.
I know Adam was pretty nervous hitting these new jumps he built, so we'll go find him and
I'll let him get warmed up, and then maybe we'll tile him over them, because it is a
little bit more difficult on the start, too, to time some jumps, so.
It's literally identical to Outlife.
It's the same s***.
And then this one, this is the most difficult one.
It's just, you got to come out of the corner and just wide open.
You can't overshoot it.
What horsepower are you in, 60?
60.
Yeah, you'll be fine.
I can tow you over them if you want me to.
I'm nervous.
You're going to be alright.
I'll play around for a minute in the rain.
Okay, yeah, get warmed up, and then when you need me, just flag me or come get me or whatever.
I'll help you.
Hey, the changes are sick, though.
Once you get over the nervousness, dude, this track is so sick now.
Haha.
I want to jump that so bad.
I need a clutch to, yeah.
Max has got confidence.
Alright, let's watch them.
I don't know if Jay's hitting it or not.
He's got a little mini track for his kids.
Sick.
Alright, I told him this one's wide open.
Let's see if he goes for it.
That one out of the corner is more difficult than this big one.
No doubt.
I just feel sketchy.
You're just in your head.
You're not sketchy.
You're just in your head.
Let's see how Jay's feeling.
He's going to do it.
I think he's coming over here.
Let's see what he says.
One way to wake up.
Have you hit him yet?
No, I just warmed his bike up.
This one's identical to how it was the last time you were here.
It's literally no different.
And then this one is just, I'm wide open, but I'm obviously spinning.
You'd probably be third.
Just seat bounce it.
I decked it twice, too, and I was fine.
Yeah, the rollers are sharper than they look from over there.
I know.
I was going to wheel tap double,
but you can really only double, double, double,
or you can wheelie over double, double.
We're going to need to build a breaking bump on that last one
before the inside roller because I want to double and do that burn.
Perfect.
That is perfect.
I told you he was tweaking over nothing.
I told you you were tweaking over nothing.
It is.
I mean, it's almost easier.
It's almost less speed.
I almost flat landed it.
Yeah, it's chill.
It is.
It's easy.
You did a good job building it.
I just suck at rollers.
I'm not good.
I don't know how to get through those.
I'm just doubling.
I'm just double, double, double.
One I was really scared about was this one.
It's literally just wide open.
I decked it twice.
I framed it twice.
I was fine.
So just come out of the corner wide open.
You just went too slow?
Could you over jump it or no?
No.
Oh, f**k.
My corner speed sucks.
I'm pretty slow in the corner.
I'm just here.
I seen you guys sitting here.
I was like, f**k it.
I'm going.
F**k it.
I'm sitting here.
I'm going for it.
You got it perfect.
A little long even.
A little long.
It does kind of have a nice deck on it too.
You can come up a couple feet short and you're chilling.
You just don't want to backside it.
For sure.
But it's not like you're so high in the air that if you came down it's going to be detrimental.
He's got it.
Perfect.
About like you.
A little long.
Guys suck at this.
Yeah, I'm just doubling it.
I don't think you can really skim them and it's not like you can triple them unless you're a psycho.
You might be able to go two, three to the outside I bet.
Yeah, you can do that.
Hey, there's no better time to hit it than right now.
That corner's perfect.
That was sick.
You got the triple.
Yeah.
I didn't quite get over it, but you could still do it in a lap and it'd be faster.
Yeah, I mean, just commit to it.
Don't half-ass it, you know.
But you got it.
Alright, second session here.
Jay needs a toe over this big step up.
I've already hit everything, obviously.
So, I am happy to give a toe where needed.
So, let's do it.
I told Jay this jump is just wide open, but I don't know if we have different definitions of wide open.
So, he'll be a good friend.
Give him a toe.
Hello.
What's up?
So, you ready?
I'm ready to jump.
Alright, let's do it.
I always have to.
Basically, just like halfway through the corner, just pin it and you'll be fine.
Just give it.
It's not.
It's like the most...
The very first time I hit it, I back-sided it.
And you don't have enough height to really case it.
So, you just kind of like...
It's super polite.
Yeah, I like that.
Alright, ready?
Yeah.
Framed it.
That darn e-bike just hurts, man.
Sorry, my fault.
Did you case it?
Yeah, I went around.
Yeah, I told you, it's chill.
Alright, next lane.
Alright, that one?
What, the one down the hill?
Yeah.
Okay.
You get it?
It's not like...
That one really isn't any different than...
I feel like I had to hit that way harder last time.
Yeah, it actually has a little bit more pop to it.
I was like mid-throttle with my pinky.
Yeah, it's got some more pop to it, but everything's pretty similar.
Appreciate that, sir.
Yup.
No!
Bro, I literally did the same thing.
I was about to say, oh my god, he's about to push it.
That's funny.
Yeah, it's like low-key, very hard underneath.
It's super pop.
We were just about to have a little shred sesh, too.
That is... I can't even verbalize.
He is flying.
Jeez.
He isn't playing.
Straight off the e-bike.
That thing needs...
Oh, hi Summer.
That thing's charging.
But, right back on the track.
Grinding that content.
Let's see what's about to happen here.
Dude, non-stop.
It's a 9-to-5 grind.
It's still better than sitting in a cubicle, though, so.
Gosh darn right.
We're training, big time.
Because I have a huge whippy vent that requires a ton of cardiovascular...
What's the word for it?
Whatever.
We're grinding.
I'm about to go do another 40.
I just did an hour 20 moto on that.
I'm about to go do a 40 here.
At any time I can hear this...
What is it?
A Hyuga.
We like that.
Oh my gosh.
That was definitely faster than the last one.
Will he be happy with it?
Round two.
There is no way he's making that corner up there.
There's no way you made that corner up there.
I could have if I wanted to.
Oh my gosh.
Okay, I'm not walking all the way over there, but...
Listen to this.
Oh my God.
Holy...
I was way too tense and then I felt like I'm riding like this, but...
Whatever happened at the end of that one looked like you managed it pretty good.
That was nuts.
Held it wide open.
Yep.
You can wind it out and go pretty slow and it sounds like you're ripping.
Oh my God.
Did you hear it bog when I dipped it?
No.
Fully converted to carbon.
Starts to be cool.
Okay, I should maybe check the fuel actually.
That would be something.
Yeah, I need to put some fuel in it.
Oh my.
I guess you can't do that on the T-shirts.
Yeah, you can't run them dry.
Oh my God.
All right, that's going to wrap up today's video.
Totally forgot to record an outro, but it's all good.
We're here now.
Thank you guys for watching.
I had a ton of fun out here at Adam's Anglers and thank you to Adam for letting Jay and
I come and break in his partially brand new track.
I know it's not a full rebuild, but it was pretty fun to kind of guinea pig and do a
test jumping for these new jumps.
So thank you to Adam for that.
And also shout out to Jay for sending me the third person clips that he got.
Trying to mix it up and kind of give you guys like different perspectives and really trying
to find my style and what you guys enjoy the most watching on YouTube in terms of long
form stuff.
So let me know down in the comments if you guys enjoyed the POV footage more or if you
guys really like the third person stuff.
Maybe I'll have to invest in a camera and stick that in Summer's hands.
Anyways, if you made it this far, thank you guys so much for watching and I will see you
guys in the next one.
