The video demonstrates Bosch's new \"Trick Check\" feature, which allows e-bike riders to measure jumps, wheelies, stoppies, and manuals in real-time. Filmed at Bike Park Wales, the presenter tests the accuracy of the system across various trails, highlighting how the feature gamifies the riding experience by providing instant data on distance, height, and airtime.
Look at this. Bosch just launched a new feature called Trick Check and it shows you how big you
went. Look, 25 foot on that jump. This is insane. It's so fun. It measures jumps, wheelies, stoppies
and manuals and today we're at Bike Park Wales giving it a full test and shredding while the
bike is basically judging me. This is awesome. Let's get into it.
Whoa, yo.
Sick. That's incredibly fun. Look, oh my God, 29 foot. I went massive. Look at it. 29 foot,
9.4 foot of height, 1.28 seconds of airtime. This is actually the dream. What a fun feature.
Well, we might as well hit some bigger jumps over here, shouldn't we? Before we get to Van
te Lime, which is the biggest one in the bike park, we're going to go to the infamous 55 foot
step down gap and see if I can get about 60 because we want to get that up on the screen.
To get there, we've got to hit this cool trail, hard shoulder, loads of jumps. Let's get it.
Dropping. What a trail. Yes. Here we go. This is the big 55 foot gap. I think this is the biggest
gap in the bike park. We can use this to see exactly how far we're going to go. I think
if you pull and go far enough into this landing, it's quite a short landing,
but if you go just a little bit further, we might be able to get 60 foot on this screen.
That would be the dream really, wouldn't it? I'll get up there and see.
Dropping. Here we go into trail X, a hidden gem of big jumps in the bike park.
46.8 foot. That is probably correct because the first big one at Swatch Nines was 60 foot.
This actually isn't as long as that. That must be correct. 46.8 foot, 10 foot of air,
getting close to two seconds of airtime. That's sick. This is actually so fun. It's giving a whole
new element of excitement while you're already out riding and doing stuff.
On our way up to the Vanta line, we might as well show you the wheelie mode. As simple as
it says, you just wheelie. Look, on the screen, immediately it tells you.
85 foot, 90 foot. It's well fun because then you can challenge yourself to how far you can do it.
No. Rubbish. 631 foot, 49 seconds of wheelie, 62 degree angle.
I'm now over at the Vanta line. As you can see, the jumps are pretty sizable.
What I mainly want to do is do a huge backflip on here and see what happens
with the jump reading. I'm pretty interested to see if it picks it up because obviously,
it's going to overtake itself and come back. It could be strange. Before we get into it,
I'm going to blast up. We'll get a GoPro POV lap of this insane trail. Let's get it.
Here we go then. Vanta line. This is what it's like top to bottom. It's ridiculous.
Wow. This is nuts. I didn't ride any of this yet.
Whoa, this is scary. Oh, my goodness. Poor bike.
Okay, we can cruise into this section. Don't need that much speed for this.
So fast from the top. I can't believe how big I went on that top section. Boom, into the finale.
Wow, that is such a crazy fun line. It's actually technical and has the big jumps. Pretty much a
dream trail to have in a bike park. Get down here and give it a go if you're daring enough.
What we want to do now is get a backflip going and we're going to see what it reads on this
screen. I'll just flip this jump and then stop so we can get the reading. Wow, so good. What does
it read? 11 foot. I think we went bigger than 11 foot. It's either shocked it because we've
done a backflip and it has no idea what's happened or it's like when you flip it goes
back a bit. Let me flip it again for fun. I'll just flip table it a bit. Maybe get up there
with the fish eye and we'll just see if it reads 11 again because that would mean that
it doesn't know what's happening when you're upside down, which is also kind of fun.
Yeah, that was a big one. That was well cool. Don't know if it was one foot of air though.
Like I definitely got more than that, but backflips may also be something in the future
that comes out on this app. I don't know, but I mean it has been sort of floated around in the air
that might be a possibility. But really though, this is super sick. So if you want to get involved
with it, you got to make sure you've got the flow app, which is Bosch's app. You have the
latest update on your Bosch motor. And if you've got a screen, then you can set it up. And after
each sort of jump or wheelie, it will come up onto your screen. Or you can do what I've done and set
up a full screen for it. Look, so you know, you can have distance range, all that stuff that I'm
not interested in, but the fun bit is tricks. So you can have your trick check screen always up
and it will just be there to pump you to do stuff. I think it's actually a really sick feature.
So we've still got to do a few. We've got stoppie and manual to look at.
We've come up to boomslang. Louis is going to lead. We've got the mission one on the back.
Look, so let's drop in and boomslang it up.
Oh, he's off. Flat out. Here we go. First manny. Oh no, he's catching up.
Oh yeah. Says manual on the screen. It's working. Bit of a double. Yes, Lou. Wow, it's blown out.
Oh, it's so slick. Whoa. Oh my God, that's dusty and slidy.
Yo. Oh, I can't see. Oh, he's missed it. He's gone free ride.
Free ride. Okay, keep it going. Oh, what a section. Yes, Louis. Oh, this is fun.
Oh my God. Oh my God. Are you all right? Oh my God. Oh, I'm so sorry. I smashed you then.
Oh, that was scary. Okay. I got a bit ridiculous, but we've come back up again. We're over A470.
I'm going to chase you through this jump section for fun. Then we're going to go across to Willie
Weber because it's like a fast flowy one that we should be able to get some mannies on. Of course,
you've already seen what it does, but I just want to try and get a sick one on the screen.
So, let's get into A470. A470, most famous trail in the bike park. Oh, it's good.
Yo. Sick tabloid in front joining in on the fun. Oh, I saw a visor on the floor where someone's
face planted. Oh, this is a new little bit. Whoa, Dust City. That's quite good to slow you down.
This is all new. Oh, this is cool though. Oh, brotherly side by side.
Oh, we can get a manny down this hill. You lead on then. Oh, this is made for it.
Yeah. Look, it says manual on the screen. Oh, this is sick. Yes. Huge manual. It knows when
you're not pedaling. Nice. Manual 326 foot. Love that. All right, keep going, Louie. We'll go into,
yeah, bro. We'll go into the green one up here. Oh, in there, yeah. Willie waves.
This trail's so fun. Just a bluey, but well enjoyable.
Oh, hugely unknown GoPro tip for a lot of people is run your GoPro upside down in the chesty. So,
when you stand up, stand up, Louie, you'll see that it's actually in the angle you want. Like,
even more is better. So, I see people with it flat and you're just not going to film anything
but your bars. That's it. It's the GoPro quick tips. Here we go. Willie wavers into the red bit.
Louie behind. Destruction City. We just had the sickest day ever at Bike Park Wales. It's so good
here. Super fun conditions. I completely forgot we didn't even get a stoppie. We're in the car
park. We've actually ridden so long, the lifts are done. So, this is the only place we can do
a stoppie now. See how good I can do it. I'm not the best at stoppies, but just sort of cruise in.
Oh yeah, that's quite nice. Nice and slow one.
32 foot. Look, that is actually so fun because you can like challenge yourself.
Look, stoppie, 32 foot. I've got to beat it. Let me beat another one just to
show the enjoyment levels. Don't want to overdo it and go over the bars. See,
I can't really go along very well. 20 foot. Right, that's it. I'm pushing the limit.
Oh yeah, that's good. Yeah. There we go. 40 foot. Easy. That's so fun just challenging yourself
on the controller. I think that's the best thing. So, like I said earlier,
if you want to have this on your bike and have your bike judge your riding tricks and skills,
just get the latest update on the Bosch and you'll see it on your screen. You can go into the app and
then select the screens you want. And I had the trick check as a screen. So, the whole time I've
been riding, I've just had that showing. So, it's like, go on, send it all the time. I think it's
such a fun thing. See you in the next one.
