I'm meteorologist Rich Hoffman and I've been tracking that wet weather from the
morning hours through the afternoon. Now we are watching the cloudy skies, the wet roads.
School is in session now. Give yourself extra travel time and don't forget wipers on,
lights on. New York state law so people can see you as the rain comes on down.
Thunderstorms out to the west. That's one of the things we are tracking for you
towards this evening. Of course Matt Hamm will have more updates through the evening hours and
don't forget to download that News 12 app so you get all the latest weather updates to your phone.
So if it's not raining in your neighborhood we are tracking some clouds and drizzle and some fog
out here for today with the wet roads. 3-5 o'clock we're watching those rain showers move on through.
Around 5-6 o'clock there could be some quick torrential downpours with some of that lightning.
7-8 o'clock it's more few and far between and then overnight it's more clouds, some drizzle,
some fog into your Wednesday morning hours and then during the day on Wednesday
some drizzle and fog especially in the morning with a spotty shower.
Overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning. This is another round of thunderstorms
we are watching for you. See you at 2-3 in the morning. We go to 4-3-5. This is going to create
some wet roads once again getting the kids out to school. A new batch of kids go to school
on Thursday. We're watching some wet weather for those first day photos. Most of that rain
should be done by 9-10 o'clock. During the afternoon hours we get some breaks of sunshine
Thursday and there'll be a chance of a spotty shower storm but better weather going into the
weekend. Now the Storm Prediction Center has a slight risk of severe thunderstorms towards this
evening and that's one of the things we'll be watching very closely. Highs today in the 70s,
clouds, showers, some thunderstorms through this evening. Temperatures will be in the 60s
overnight. Some showers and storms especially before midnight and then take a look at that
extended forecast again. Tomorrow some drizzle and a spotty shower, thunderstorms Thursday morning
and right now Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday temperatures look really nice and sky conditions
pretty good.
