37 Ducklings... And Three Mama Ducks?! 🦆❤️

37 ducklings?! 🦆 Things are getting busy here at The 10 Acre Woods!

A few more ducklings hatched this week, bringing our little duckling nursery to 37 babies. But there's an interesting story behind one mama duck and her seven ducklings. After the babies were moved into the nursery, Mama Duck returned to her old nest, apparently thinking her babies were still there!

We eventually got mama and her seven little ones back together—and somehow, those seven ducklings have completely blended into the group. With 37 ducklings and three moms, things have definitely become interesting! ❤️

We also discover that mice have been causing trouble at the farm after chewing through an underground network cable, forcing us to investigate and set up a Reolink camera to keep an eye on the area.

Plus, you'll see our morning animal feeding routine, pigeons flying around the farm, the animals enjoying watermelon and other treats, and the beginning of acorn season as the chipmunks start collecting their winter food.

September is almost here, which means we're already thinking about everything that needs to be done before another Manitoba winter arrives!
