This will define a lot for the Pistons...

Video Summary
AI GeneratedThe Detroit Pistons are entering a pivotal season focused on roster optimization and the development of young talent. Central to this is Ron Holland, who faces pressure to prove his value as a rotation piece. While the team has aggressively added sharpshooters to improve spacing for Cade Cunningham, Holland's lack of a consistent three-point shot has sparked debates regarding his future and potential trade value.
The Detroit Pistons looking to build off a 60 win season and one player looking to break out and
prove his point within this organization. This defines a lot for the Detroit Pistons moving
forward as a lot of questions arise around Ron Holland and how the young player is not only
going to emerge as the next star within this team but prove that he deserves to be on this roster
as Langdon continues to look to add multiple more bodies and upgrade different positions.
We're going to break down everything you need to know on the potential breakout for Ron Holland,
why this means everything for him moving forward, and how people are already speaking
on trading Ron Holland, which is getting ridiculous. We're going to break down all this
and so much more on this episode. But before we get into it, I want to give a huge shout out to
absolutely everyone watching. Sincere thank you to everyone watching these videos. Hey,

you up to date on everything to do around the Detroit Pistons heading into quite a big season
for the franchise. Now before we get into Ron Holland and a lot of reports floating around,
I do want to dive into where the Detroit Pistons are bringing back their 2021-22
City Edition jerseys for the upcoming season and honestly great jerseys. This is the team that's
everything they bring out. But fans, I want to know your thoughts not only on bringing back
their old City jerseys from 21-22 for 2026, but what do you think is the nicest jersey in Detroit
history? Let me know down in the comments because listen, there's a lot of opinions. There's a lot
of great jerseys. I'm not going to give too hot of a take on it, but this team does have some
great kits from without the years. Let me know your thoughts down in the comments on all that
as well. But with that, I do want to dive into Ron Holland and how people are starting to speak
on the Detroit Pistons maybe having a question with the young wing going forward. The Pistons
have upgraded the rotation in several key areas, including picking up new casts of sharpshooters
in John Collins, Isaiah Joe, Tory and French all project improved Detroit spacing and shooting,
which could simplify the game for Kate Cunningham and company.
And of course, bringing in three guys that are shooting near or at 40% from three is going to
open up quite a bit for Kate Cunningham and this Pistons team that desperately needed it last
season, especially going into the playoffs. A team that has some non-shooters within the
organization, of course, is our Thompson continues to grow his game and wanting to get that three
point shot completely changed the team. If he gets it, Jalen Dern, a big is incredible at
finishing at the rim, but when looking at the team, adding the sharpshooters next to Jenkins
and Javante Green, Paul Reed, Duncan Robinson, this is now a team that's becoming a very
respectable shooting team, but something that was needed, especially on the bench,
when you're looking at a team and Ron Holland's non-improvement when it comes to three.
And of course he can get better. Ron Holland continues to work on his game. I'm a huge
supporter of Ron Holland and what he does, but this upcoming season can define Ron Holland and
how he fits within this organization moving on, not only into next year, but the years to come.
Now this report will be down in the comments or article. I should say where Maxwell spoke
on the Pistons still lack a proven shot creator along the wings. However, which means Ron Holland
still has a clear path to significant role in saying that time is running out for him to prove
Detroit doesn't need to trade him for an upgrade. Now, of course, looking at this and in a perfect
world, Sarah Thompson and Ron Holland both get consistent jumpers. One of them becomes a shot
creator and the world is at peace. But with Ron Holland, again, I'm such a supporter of what he
does, what he brings to the defensive side. It's a Sarah Thompson life that comes off the bench.
And of course you wish the shooting was there, but with Ron Holland last season falling out of
rotation in the playoffs and in the regular season playing just under 20 minutes, 8 points,
4 rebounds, 1 assist, 43, 25, 80 splits. Ron Holland has improved season after season since
joining the Pistons in 24, 25, where he registered and went out 6.5 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist,
nearly half a steal and half a block a game. Ron Holland needs to continue working on his 3,
though the percentage almost jumped up 2%. But going into the playoffs is where we've seen a lot
of this rotation get a lot smaller. And of course, J.B. Bickerstaff wants to lean on the big names,
Kate Cunningham as Sarah Thompson, Tobias Harris at the time, Duncan Robinson. All the guys got
minutes, but now looking at Ron Holland and what he brought in the regular season at the rim, 66.7%
from above the break, 340%. But the problem is Kate likes taking those mid ranges from just in
the top of the three, so clearing up more space with the corners where he shot 0%, which is insane
to see. And going into the playoffs, again J.B. Bickerstaff making this rotation smaller, leaning
on his veteran players. And Ron Holland falling out of the trust of the coach led to 6 minutes
per game with some not great stats, 1.5, 1.6 on 30, 25, 60 splits, though still very good
defensively. The biggest thing with Ron Holland and what he brought over the span of two seasons
is improvement, but this improvement needs to grow even more if this is a team that wants to go out
and really compete with the other top teams in the West. East, sorry, where we've seen LeBron
James get picked up by the 76ers along with Jalen Brown. Tyrese Halliburton returning to the Pacers,
Kawhi supposedly heading to the Toronto Raptors. This is a team that's going to have a lot of
competition and need to continue to improve where I guess that is understandable where the comments
are popping up of people wondering if Ron Holland is going to be a trade piece. Now looking at the
defensive end in the regular season, 6 feet out defense elite percentile, 10 feet out sitting
an elite almost at the 90th percentile as well. The defense at the perimeter, Ron Holland's doing
a lot of guarding of bigger bodies as well, but now the question is and where people are really
starting to disrespect Ron Holland heading into a big season for the wing where we can see
swish bet says Ron Holland not be enlisted to win most improved player but Jenkins, Reed and Lanier
are is ridiculous. What's stopping the 21-year-old from averaging 8-4-4 leaping into a 14-6-1
range? No Stuart Harris this season for the Pistons, it's time to shine. Now I completely agree with
this and looking at the rotations now where of course the Pistons lose out on Tobias, you add in
John Collins to eat those minutes. You're moving out on some key guys but now you're adding the
shooting. There's a lot of players in the weeds waiting to get in. I mean Ibuka Okori, of course
this does not affect Ron Holland, but a great rookie coming into his rookie campaign is looking
to make an impact. Kevin Herter is looking to bounce back from his terrible shooting performance
just last season. Torian Prince, Gary Harris, even down to Chas Lanier. These are guys all looking
to get into a legitimate rotation piece within the Pistons and with Ron Holland nearing
the final two years. This year there was a team option picked up by the Pistons 27-28. There's
another team option before hitting the word of RFA that we don't even want to talk about because
of Gio Endurin of course. This is now a team that has a question to ask and again I'm not saying
trade Ron Holland because I'm super in on him, but fans I want to know your thoughts down in the
comments on Ron Holland. Pull Y for yes, N for no. Would you trade out Ron Holland if that meant
the Pistons got a better upgrade as another trader coming off the bench or if it's another trader to
join this team? If the package had something like Trey Murphy and of course moving out Ron Holland
and draft picks, would you be comfortable doing this? Or is Ron Holland on the brink of having
that breakout season improving his worth and exactly why he went so high in this draft to
the Pistons? I want to know your guys thoughts down in the comments on everything to do around
this team because not only is it fun to talk about it with you guys, but of course I love reading
through each and every comment. Let me know your thoughts on everything to do on the Pistons down
in the comments. That's been it for this episode. Go Detroit basketball and I'll see you in the next one.
