Raiders HC Klint Kubiak Mike Washington Steps Up

Hey, Coach, do you believe that Mike Washington stepped up into the role that he wants to be in? I think he kept playing like he practices. He's been consistent. He's an improving player. He's got a lot of good football ahead of him. We've just got to keep getting the best out of him every day. What did you make of the play tonight? Just about your work you put out there. I mean, Bruce was important. Yeah, you know, overall offensively, we didn't score at all. So we didn't help the team get victories. I think he has a pick, but I think it was a drop ball and we have a couple of sacks. So play that I can do better for him as well. What do you think you learned by facing such a fast rush like that? Well, you know, that's the NFL. Every week it's going to be that. It's going to be just like Max is practicing every day. That's the NFL. Offensively, we've got to find a way to get points on the ball. Jackson, how was Johnson starting to play during the second half as he wrapped up? I wouldn't say that. We've got more decisions to make. Jackson and Caleb have had a great battle and both of those guys are going to be playing for sure. After a game like this, what do you think is the biggest thing that you can take this game to evaluate the team moving forward? What do you look for in games like this? You know, guys are fighting for jobs. Yeah, the special teams reps are so important. Those are critical overall. Guys that have better job penalties played much better technically tonight. But yeah, you're just trying to see at the bottom of the roster guys, you know, how much value you can add to your team. So look forward to watching the special teams play. You had to challenge your wide receivers this week to step it up a little bit. At first glance, do you feel like they did that today or what was your assessment of wide receivers? Yeah, you know, we didn't score. So receivers, running backs, tight ends, all around. We've got to find ways to get the ball in the end zone.
