Russia may receive up to 150 North Korean missiles , which will enhance its strike potential. According to military expert Sergei Zgurets, their characteristics remain debatable, and their low accuracy makes them primarily a weapon of terror. He stated this on the Espresso radio station .

The expert noted that North Korea continues to strengthen Russia's military potential by transferring various types of missiles, including the KN-23, KN-24, and KN-30. The possible delivery of approximately 150 North Korean missiles to Russia is currently under active discussion. Even if their specifications differ from those stated, such a quantity would be a significant addition to the Russian arsenal.

Zgurets urged a critical approach to claims about the KN-30, which is claimed to have a range of up to 900 km and a 2.5-ton warhead. He argued that these characteristics are unlikely to be combined in a single missile. "If we're talking about a missile capable of flying 900 km, then its warhead weight should be significantly lighter. If we're talking about 2.5 tons, then the range will be much shorter," the analyst explained.

In his opinion, the accuracy of these missiles remains a separate issue. Zgurets estimated that missiles flying approximately 800 km could deviate from their target by up to 18 km.

"It's impossible to speak with certainty about the accuracy of these missiles. But as a terror weapon, complementing the Russian arsenal, the Russians will certainly need them now," he added.

Earlier, aviation expert Bohdan Dolince stated that the low accuracy and large warheads make North Korean missiles very dangerous to civilians, as this turns them into so-called indiscriminate weapons . In addition, he noted that, compared to Russian missiles, the key disadvantage of the KN series missiles is their lower accuracy and lower flight speed, which makes them an easier target for interception by anti-missile defense systems. "However, the biggest threat and biggest advantage, unlike the Iskander, is their significantly larger warhead, which can cause large-scale and far more serious destruction," the expert explained. He also emphasized that the missile's low accuracy and high explosive content make it "very dangerous, primarily for cities and civilians, as this turns this weapon into a so-called indiscriminate weapon." Regarding how many such missiles the Russians can launch simultaneously, Dolinze recalled that at least six launchers are known to exist. These launchers can launch one to two missiles, depending on the type.

"This means we're talking about the possibility of using up to 12 missiles of this type in a single attack. As for the preparation time for the next attack, for such launchers it typically takes several hours or more," the aviation expert explained.

He also noted that the missiles are stored "in deep warehouses," and only limited quantities needed for a specific mission or launch are delivered to the launchers.
