For five days, I traveled from place to place with my painting gear, never knowing exactly what kind of landscape, weather, or challenge the next location would bring. By the end of the journey, I had created 14 paintings entirely from life.

🎬 ABOUT THE VIDEO:

This film follows my experience during a five-day plein air painting event in Lithuania, where I traveled through the countryside and surrounding areas in search of places and moments worth painting.
Each day brought something different — a sunflower field, an abandoned bunker, the Baltic Sea at sunset, cows grazing near the Nevėžis River, quiet villages, open fields, riverbanks, forests, and unexpected places along the way.
I painted around Šeteniai, Šventybrastis, Paberžė, Dotnuva, Kėdainiai and Palanga, working directly from life and responding to the changing light, weather and atmosphere of each place.
Some paintings were made beside the Nevėžis River, one while standing directly in the water, others in open fields and remote countryside. On the final day, I even climbed into a small hunting tower in the forest and painted from above.
This became more than simply completing paintings — it turned into a five-day journey of driving, walking, exploring, finding unexpected places and trying to capture something of each one before moving on.

At the end of the plein air event, the paintings created during these days are being presented in a group exhibition in Kėdainiai.

🎧 EXPERIENCE:

No talking — just plein air oil painting, natural sounds, changing landscapes and the experience of being there.

The goal is to combine oil painting process + nature atmosphere + slow cinematic storytelling into a meditative visual experience.
