Drawing EVERYTHING I See #5: How to Draw Feathers WITHOUT Drawing Every Detail

#oilwaxcolor #drawing #art #painting

Welcome to Day 5 of my "Drawing EVERYTHING I See" art challenge!

In this episode, I’m drawing a bird using a quick and expressive technique with soft pencil, charcoal powder, and a blending stump. You don't need to spend endless hours rendering every single feather to achieve depth and texture. I’ll show you how to build realistic feather volume using soft dark masses, erase out highlights, and add crisp details where they matter most.
