Matt Cavanaugh on Sunday Offense

What were you hoping to see from them today, and what do you think you guys got? I think the energy was there. I thought a lot of our individual periods went really well when you're teaching. And from an offense, defense standpoint, I thought our defense took it to us a little bit. But that's the challenge we're gonna have every week. So it was good for us first day out to see them being a little more aggressive. We had some success with our first group and less with the second and third. So still a lot to work on. What have you seen with Elijah in terms of how he's being able to kind of push that quarterback forward? Elijah's got confidence. He's got games under his belt at Stanford, obviously, and he wants to compete. He's being pushed himself. So I wouldn't say that he's pushing them on by any stretch. But he's that number two spot right now. He wants to hold on to it. But I think he, Dash, Keeney, and Derek are all competing to try to get that spot. So it's good for him. He needs that push behind him.
