Despite dealing with several injuries to key players, the team recently competed against Boise State and is working toward being fully healthy for their season opener against Colgate on November 2nd.
It's been a fun group to coach so far.
We've had, you know, a couple injuries here and there like everybody,
you know, getting through the summer and kind of sludging through,
you know, September and October is always
the hardest time in college basketball,
you know, until you can compete against somebody else.
We were actually able to compete against Boise State the other night.
We were without Ryan Beasley, who's had a concussion.
Matty Traore, you know, we drained his knee.
And a couple other guys nicked up.
But, you know, for the most part, you know,
we should hopefully have everybody by, you know, that November 2nd.
opener against Colgate. Does Matty Traore have a different
injury now and what are your hopes
for him this year? A little bit. His knee
just kind of swells up and so it's not necessarily his foot which
he tore the tendon last year and so now it's just kind of one of those
who knows how often he'll kind of swell up but for the most
part he's been able to practice.
We're going to have to load manage him and it might be
two practices here, one off and then once it gets closer to games
just practice him two days prior to a game and then play
depending on how he recovers.
