The Altoids Tin Challenge is back for 2026!

Few EDC challenges are as iconic as building a complete everyday carry kit inside a classic Altoids tin. The goal isn’t to cram as much gear as possible into the tin—it’s to build the most useful, well-rounded kit you can while working within one of the smallest containers available.

In this video, I walk through my latest Altoids tin build, explain why each item earned its place, and discuss the compromises that come with building an ultra-compact EDC kit. Every piece has to justify its weight, size, and usefulness.

One thing you’ll notice… I’m not showing the contents in the thumbnail. That’s intentional! I wanted the build itself to be the surprise.
