here he is here he is here he is finally got a bite y'all and ronnie been sitting here five minutes oh there we go son i got it oh i got him it's beckon right here boy ronnie it's on the big old gizzard chad he's up on the boat got to get him out of my mother's boat oh lord i hate it when they get on i know what i got to get him around this motor get him over here oh yeah now we got him well he's over here now big fish out here pulling drag good boy he come up i mean he tapped on that big manner boy he's pulling too i hope i hope that's what i think it is i hope it's what we have here he comes ronnie it is it's a it is what we're looking for y'all oh my goodness we come down here to catch this right here you got one ronnie whoo get that joker in there yeah boy look at that lord ronnie all right yes sir buddy that's what we come down here to try to catch y'all that's right folks we just got here and uh look at that big long lanky saltwater stripe right that's saltwater stripe not a real big saltwater stripe but a nice one there you know these things right here get up 40 50 pounds sometime and uh i'm tickled with them that's our first fish we come down here to mouth this creek ronnie and i did to see if we catch some right here and so all right folks we're gonna turn this stripe look whoa whoa you want to go now these right here it's always best to dump them head first when you if you're gonna turn them just like that right there hey he gone hey ronnie he gone he gone son lord let's let's do another all right let's do it catch you one ronnie all right folks like i said we're sitting here to mouth this creek right here and right there's what i just caught that fish on that's a gizzard shad about six inches long now these hooks are little these are just a little number two hooks not a big hook but it gets the job done i'm just hooking this gizzard shad right up through the snoot just like it come straight up through the snoot and uh i'm using a 12 pound test berkeley tri-lane green line i got two little split shots on right there and typically this time of year we fish these creek mouths because the creek water is much cooler than what's out here this like 83 degrees out here go up in the creek just a little little piece and it's in the 70s so you've got cooler water discharge and then the fish like it the minnows like it got a lot of oxygen in it yeah yeah and we don't know really what we're gonna catch right here i mean we could catch smallmouth bass here spotted bass large ronnie you caught a big old largemouth here not too long ago i did it's almost seven yeah so hey who knows what we're gonna get a hold to ronnie your men are getting nervous showing up you caught him son got him you got a bagging i don't know what that is that's gonna jump i believe that's gonna jump like i say you don't ever know with this live bait what you're gonna get do you ronnie sure don't you're gonna need a net oh what that's a big smallmouth i think it's in there i think it's a big smallmouth y'all just caught that stripe no i seen it it it maybe i don't know i don't need i thought it was a smallmouth but it could be it is it's a nice smallmouth two good we put them in that bait tank a lot of times y'all till we get things ready that way we don't like keep these fish out of water very long no longer we have to drop her down right let's see that fish what'd you say three eight fish weighs three pounds eight ounces how about that boy ain't that a pretty smallmouth hey i'm with you on that let's catch some more of them showing up all right she gone she bit me gone she i love it yeah let's catch one let's catch another yeah that's on yellowtail yeah hey ronnie what'd you catch that on yeah yellowtail yeah when you get one out we'll show here we go lord help me please hold him he's pulling drag oh my ronnie you might as well get this this is gonna be another one of them i think well i don't know what it's gonna be man i didn't while we was uh weighing ronnie's bass see i just throw my my my gizzard shad out there and left the bail open and while we was doing that this fish jumped on him he did didn't he ronnie yellowtail right here in the mouth of this creek right here i don't know what this is i think it's gonna be another one of them stripes i might be wrong but i think well i don't know we'll see here i know one thing he's pulling good he's pulling he's got some shoulders don't he yeah i may have to go to the back he may have to get whatever you need i'm gonna have to go to the back i'll follow you yeah i ain't gonna get around this big motor back here we don't want that to happen good lord this deer don't want to give it up i don't know he's still pulling drag my goodness yeah they yeah yeah yes we're gonna need to chase him no i don't think so okay it's another baby i seen him y'all i think this is a big hybrid here i don't know about oh this is a showing up big and i'm gonna weigh this if we get him in yeah i shouldn't have said that i jinxed myself lord this is a big in here ronnie we ain't been been here long y'all we done got look at that that's a good that's a good that's a good rocky drake get him over there to you well i can't horse this and boy little bitty hook got that little bitty hook on there yeah barely barely got get him in that net ronnie look at that ronnie that's a 14 pound fish no wonder he's pulling some drag i'm telling you look at that yeah look where i got him too right there in the corner of the mouth oh that's a big one there look at that little hook right there good job ronnie let's weigh this one real quick oh lord that's what i'm god i can't get that little hook out hardly yeah we're gonna weigh this one okay let's see what this this fish right here is a double digit or 12 pound 14 ounce 12 okay 12 14 very good y'all can see right there all right rocky drake folks check it out hey i love this right here now this oh lord it's what we come down here for right here really get some of these right here i'm gonna turn this loose and like i say folks best thing to do is just dump them head first it's like this right here y'all need wind she gone she gone your honor she went lord let's catch another let's do it ronnie they hitting them gizzards right there yeah man we've been here 15 minutes ronnie got him a nice small mouth a couple of nice strikes now folks we only had like a few of them gizzards but now we caught several of these these are thread fin shad and uh so i just put one of these on i don't even know if there's any more gizzards in there ronnie we might have should have took time to catch more gizzard you know basically folks if y'all knew the live bait fishing especially in this river like ronnie and i are doing i mean you basically got two type baits you got gizzard shad and you got thread fin shad and uh i mean these fish will eat both of them the only difference is a gizzard shad is a little bit more hardier than a thread fin shad thread fins are a little bit more sensitive and they're harder to keep alive especially for a long period of time but now especially this time of the year i mean here we are end of july and i mean it's supposed to be well today it's not too bad but it's been like yesterday was like a heat index of like 105 something like that so it's i mean it's hot and uh but basically you got two that that's the two main baits that we fish with out here on the river now sometimes we get lucky and we catch uh shiners golden shot wild golden shiners now that's a really good bait too but you don't catch them very often get it ronnie ronnie is he still on it oh that's gonna be another one of them that's another is that is that a stripe we don't know i know i keep saying it now but uh we don't know i'm gonna have to get up there i won't i won't do that again i'm gonna throw it out there leave my bail i'm gonna go up there with this net and get ronnie's big fish it's gonna be another one of them stripe i believe i believe that's what's in here today i think it's a bass you think it's a bass i do really i don't know no it's a stripe right yeah nothing another stripe what is that in there no salt water hybrid so far we ain't caught nothing but salt water strike we think you find out right here oh ronnie he's pulling oh that's another good one son whoa ronnie are you doing the dance with him ain't you he's doing whatever he wants i mean here we uh it's just oh yeah it still takes a day those things are so far they just stay out that's when it's just all this to it you get this on what's just near away that in their ways eight pounds one ounce good that's a good eight pounds one ounce eight pounder we've been seeing some fish activity on this point right here we don't know what they are we're gonna move over here and see if we can something over here feeding on bait right off this point so so i'm gonna go up here and get next to ronnie we're gonna fish this point hey we're ronnie let's just weigh him right here and see see if it's above four pounds when ronnie just let's see if it's near what weighs four three pound this fish right here weighs three pound nine ounces three nine that's a nice bass yes that's a nice small mouth that's a picture for july yes sir yeah here we are in july catching these fish like today right here in the mouth this creek yeah well right there is my favorite fish to catch and i'm glad i got me one ronnie got that a while ago and it's about the same size right here before we catch a new stripe i'm gonna turn this fish loose folks and we're gonna try to catch nothing let's go on it right here what a pretty fish beautiful fish right now she went good job man oh lord love catching smallmouth bass i do that's a surprise wasn't it that was a big surprise there i don't know what i was thinking i just thought it was another stripe and i caught that on one of these right here thread fin shed about three inches here he is here's another i ain't joking got him just caught that smallmouth let's see what this is hey this might be another now this is this is this is this here's a different species of stripe right here that's a nice one that's a nice white bass that's a white bass right there y'all some people call them stripe but actually white bass razorhead is what i call them because they'll cut you and uh so actually i call these minnow eaters that's what they are minnow eaters and that's pretty nice one right there yes it is well so far we caught saltwater stripe white bass smallmouth bass on this live bait when you uh when you throw smaller baits like this right here this thread fins like we're fishing with now because we're basically out of gizzard shad bigger gizzard shad you're gonna catch you're gonna catch a smaller fish and you're gonna catch different kinds of fish on the smaller bait uh that's that's one thing about using that big gizzard shad you eliminate catching the smaller fish like i just called like that white bass right there because they can't get it in their mouth good not a big gizzard shad get him ronnie ronnie wait a minute i may have one too i got one too ronnie we both doubled up here oh i got a nice bass what you got you got a you got a bubble son hold on i'll get him for you ronnie i got a good one here too i got you go ahead i got it there i got a spot here let me get him back here no let me let me let me get him we're gonna hold these let me get ronnie's big large mouth right we're gonna what we're gonna hold these up against each other son that's a good in there ronnie god boy we having a heck of a day over here look at there yeah look at there mine's a little old spot bass right here about a couple pounds ronnie got a bubble right there i think we're gonna weigh that in there picture taker for sure yes nice fish all right i'm gonna put mine back he's gone ronnie's gone he gone what do you think it's gonna weigh ronnie oh shoot he's 14. yeah that's what i was like drop her down there son fish right there weighs four pounds 11 ounces that's a nice one ronnie that is pretty fine congratulations i believe there's more down there yeah these are down in there she gone she gone just letting it go to the bottom just fluttering that manner up off the bottom just fluttering it flutter picking it up letting her go down here he is oh lord here he is let's see what it's gonna be here pretty good fish the way it feels there we go what you got ronnie oh ronnie got a sauger it's all gone son let's see what i got i got another white bass don't y'all look here that's what i'm talking about and you got that sauger right in there smooth wow man we just catching a little bit of everything right here today yeah that'd be borderline keeper i gotta be 15 inches but still hey hey it's a sauger hey it's a sauger and i got a i got a nice white bass or fat one right here yeah hey we don't get to do this much in the hot summertime catchy stripe like this but today's just the perfect day to do it overcast cloudy wow i believe one hit that thing soon as it hit the water i believe there's one out there yeah yeah there's one after it i thought it was one after it come back and get it hound dog there he is got him cool got him son got him he he grabbed that thing as soon as he hit the water i think it's gonna jump oh no we got another good one here ronnie ronnie ronnie ronnie please get the net got it oh son that's is that a big largemouth it looks like a big largemouth that's it ronnie did you see that i did i believe that's a giant largemouth i do too oh son son this is what we're talking about oh man please hold him hook that is a big largemouth that's a big one i think it's a large mouth hard to tell sometimes here he comes ronnie no it's a stripe yeah i don't know why i thought it was i guess because he's jumping like a largemouth that's another one there that's another look at that got him got him son that's another nice one y'all see right there see that little hook take him hook you can get down in there with a hook oh that's another nice one there probably about five pounds soon as he hit the water he hit it i thought it'd be so he gone showing up gone he is gone good job thank you i'd say we're having a pretty good day you think so yeah i could swear that was a largemouth me too most time him striped him come up and do that i really did i thought it was a big largemouth get a bite ronnie you got him boy is that a big one he don't know he's hooked yet oh that's a big one yeah that's a big one ronnie got a big one on y'all oh yeah sure enough got a big one yeah he found out he was hooked he's pulling some drags on ronnie i need to walk around yeah come on back here to the back ronnie got a big one on i'm all lord have mercy oh this might be the biggest another day ronnie we're gonna have to chase this i don't think so i think he's about four down yeah i got him i don't know if you have it or not they didn't even act like a big one when he when you set the hook on he did it right oh i might need to get my line in out of the way he's still powerful yeah yeah i'm gonna get my line up here golly ronnie this is gonna be a big one right here i think it is showing up huh oh look at him out chowder that's a good that's a good i don't know i don't about lost count of how many of these we've caught today but i tell you what it's been a heck of a day with these right here been a heck of a day so far it's just now yeah it is if you like striper fish and i love it that might be a hybrid there it looked like he was real thick i don't know oh that's big they're getting bigger oh yeah we got him we got him ronnie that's a nice one boy look how pretty that thing is look at the colors on that fish look at it come here that's the colors oh he put you up a toss he did and right now folks it's about 1 30 in the afternoon so we started fishing about nine so four or five hours fishing right here and
