“The Night we Met”(Piano and Cello duet) WKMT XIV Festival - Benjo Sandler

At the WKMT Festival on 13 June 2026, held at the beautiful St Cuthbert’s Church in Earl’s Court, our student delivered a deeply expressive performance of Lord Huron’s *The Night We Met*. Presented in a moving arrangement for piano and cello, he performed alongside his teacher, Gisela Paterno, on cello. His sensitive phrasing, musical awareness and ability to sustain the work’s intimate, reflective atmosphere made this a particularly memorable performance. The collaboration between piano and cello was beautifully balanced, revealing both his growing confidence as a pianist and his genuine understanding of the emotional character of the music.
