there are a very there are very few holes to fill on that roster so today i'm going to take a look at who's ready who's close to being ready and what the future looks like for the canes plus it's friday and you know what that means i'm going to answer some of your comments i'm going to read your comments and we're going to have lots of fun doing that first off on our list is mr bradley nadeau you know him you love him out of 10 his readiness is probably a 9.5 good forward a really good impact player smart winger the 2023 first round 30th overall pick has spent time on the roster and he has made a difference the goal-scoring winger has a dangerous shot he's shown he can dominate at the ahl level where he just completely crushes everybody with the wolves his nhl caliber offensive instincts are second to none he is really growing into a great player he can provide something carolina needs which is just natural scoring middle six winger for the 2026 projection power play option potential 20 goal upside down the road this kid gets going and if this kid spends some time on the main roster there's no doubt he's a 30 plus goal scorer in the future and that future could be now we do know that seth jarvis is out until at least december after having surgery so there's no doubt that bradley nadeau is the first choice to come in and fill that spot potentially third line most likely fourth line as they move him into the main lineup number two we have felix unger soreum another great forward probably an right wing 2023 second round 60 second overall draft pick high iq playmaker elite vision and passing ability this guy could pass it through your legs to his teammate to set up a goal if he wanted to strong possession game he's a big kid so it's hard to take the puck from him he's improved greatly with his offensive production just needs to adjust to the north american style a little more but that's why he's with the wolves and he is really showing why he's good not just good great and a great prospect for carolina potentially ready for a roster move up as he kills it with the wolves him and nadeau are amazing big question does carolina have room for he may be nhl ready but the roster situation could force him to go back down to chicago to start the season there is a hole again there's a hole with jarvis being injured if nadeau is not the guy which i'm sure he will be to fill that hole to start the season soreum could be the guy to do it um his 26 27 projection on the bubble between the nhl and the ahl between raleigh and chicago definitely a third line playmaker if he does end up with the big club second power play unit potential again once this kid gets going he will definitely definitely definitely be a force to reckon with saw him a few times with the canes last season had a good time you know played well on the ice with the hurricanes so there's no reason this kid couldn't be ready potentially this year definitely next year who knows what's going to happen with the core still intact it's really hard to think about it and trade bay could be potential for any of these these guys we're playing but sorum is a big strong player with great um mobility he's a great two-way player as well both offensively and defensively so that's a plus to have dominic bedinka seven and a half out of ten ready a right shot defenseman i don't believe the hurricanes need any right shot defenseman on the roster but you never know um 2024 second round 34th overall pick great mobile two-way defenseman he's about six foot three right-handed um right-handed defensemen are valuable around the league a very strong skating ability needs a little more physical maturity a little more north american experience to get his game to the next level but a six foot three as a right shot defenseman he is so valuable to any club a potential nhl call up for next season uh more likely at full-time nhl push in the 27 28 season definitely heading to chicago with the wolves um to where he'll just progress his game forward even more than he already has which is kind of a very a very good problem to have heading up we have poirier nhl readiness seven out of ten right wing pure goal scorer elite offensive upside he could surprise he has one of the best shots in the hurricane system strong scoring ability defensive consistency strength against nhl level competition the projection for the 26 27 season is the ahl ahl main scorer injury replacement nhl call up potentially for the midseason if they do need it or if jarvis takes a little longer and maybe nadeau doesn't do too well in the nhl which i can't see i'm definitely a great prospect to have definitely will do well with the ahl chicago wolves next year you never know they might call them up if they need them last one number five we'll probably go through 10 through 20 at some point next week nikita artemov forward six and a half out of 10 uh he's a winger skilled offensive forward currently developing overseas in the khl has an nhl upside but he is probably not a 26 27 you know roster type player a future top six candidate most likely after 2027 he can either be with the hurricanes or they can use mish trade bait but he is currently over in the khl right now uh we'll get into more prospects and later videos coming up potentially next week we'll do let's say 5 through 10 then 15 through 20 sound good sound good so those are the prospects those are the good problems that the hurricanes currently have in their system and a lot to think about um as players do get hurt it's a natural fact and it's friday kaniacs that's only mean one thing it's comment time so let's do this left on the video about the ranting trade gary clagg 3722 what return did the canes get with the number two ones and two number threes well they got some draft potential they got some draft chips uh they got some collateral with that um you know they still own trades from minnesota and dallas and colorado um they're set up to use those picks to further the pipeline but i really hope you're not hinting at what i think you're hinting at when i first read this um let's pretend you're not talking about logan stankovan from dallas for ranting in um who played massive massively in the playoffs for the canes during the season has really become a fan favorite in raleigh with the canes fans so yeah lots of upside for the rant and trade with that one um gary gary mcgee oh sorry greg mcgee three three four six everything worked out on in the end way better than most predicted uh this is also about the ranting video it went a hell of a lot different than majority predicted in the nhl world the future is bright in carolina let's go 2026 stanley cup champion carolina hurricanes hell yeah bro love me some stanks love me a line of him hall blake can't wait for more potentially um they could really capitalize on last season and really really destroy the nhl uh this coming season would be scary to see what that line could do with a big strong goaltender from winnipeg behind them but love bussy sorry and last one staying on that video from gut instinct 1776 sorry it's not pulling up for some reason but gut instinct 1776 i was really upset about the nature's trade i even had his jersey from czech republic at time and miko came in having put up two and a half points per game at colorado then only putting up one point every other game with the canes point shaving comes to mind i don't know about that imo in my opinion idk how else to explain it i had words with tulski oh nice tell him i said hi just about the trade back in december 25 when we were celebrating the 20-year anniversary of the canes first cup and tulski well it all worked out in the end he's 100 correct what's up bro long time man i haven't talked to you in a bit good to see you long time no chat uh was wondering where you were hiding um i was upset about marty too i really liked natius um very good defender um really had the heart of carolina in him and was really happy to have him um but again you and tulski were right you and tulski were 100 right it totally worked out in the end so glad to have stanks
