Rainy Village Life 🌧️ Traditional Salt-Baked Stuffed Chicken | Clay Tandoor Bread & Rustic Persian Cooking
In this peaceful rainy episode, we experience the beauty of authentic Persian village life, where gentle rain, fresh mountain air, and traditional cooking create the perfect countryside atmosphere 🌧️🌿
Today, Sareh and Negin prepare one of the most unique and flavorful traditional chicken recipes using an ancient slow-cooking technique that has been passed down through generations.
The whole chickens are first marinated with fragrant saffron, freshly ground spices, garlic, and traditional village seasonings. Every piece is carefully coated by hand, allowing the rich flavors to soak deep into the meat before cooking ✨🐓
The chickens are then generously stuffed with:
Fresh potatoes 🥔
Carrots 🥕
Bell peppers 🫑
Onions 🧅
Once filled, each chicken is carefully sewn closed by hand to keep all the delicious juices and aromas locked inside during the slow cooking process.
Meanwhile, a large traditional cooking pot is filled with a thick layer of natural salt. Fresh potatoes are arranged over the salt, creating a natural cooking bed. The stuffed chickens are gently placed on top before the pot is covered and left to cook slowly over a low wood fire.
This ancient village technique allows the chickens to roast gently for hours, becoming incredibly tender, juicy, and full of smoky flavor while the potatoes absorb the delicious juices from the meat 🔥🍗
Alongside the main dish, fresh dough is kneaded and baked inside a traditional clay tandoor oven, producing soft golden village bread with the irresistible aroma of firewood 🍞🔥
As the rain falls softly across the green countryside, peaceful village life continues beside the cooking:
• Listening to the relaxing sound of spring rain 🌧️
• Preparing traditional outdoor meals over firewood 🔥
• Enjoying the calm beauty of mountain village life 🌿
• Living slowly in harmony with nature
