Unsolved murder: Memorial held for man killed 8 years ago in West Phoenix

A memorial today for a valley man murdered eight years ago. Matthew Groves was killed in the West Valley during a skateboard trip. But after all this time, still no arrests. Androma homes has the message from his family tonight. Eight years ago, a day after skateboarding, Matthew Groves stopped at the Purple Turtle. It's where he was killed. His family gathers there again today, holding on the hope that someone will finally speak up. He loved being an uncle. He loved achieving and things he loved when he was going to take college for. He loved life. That's the Matthew. His family remembers. But for eight years now, remembering him has come with a question that won't go away. We come and try to spread and keep it open. Um, that in hopes that somebody would come forward with whatever needs to be done or said, um, to maybe add that extra thing to bring someone to justice. Police haven't been able to share new developments that hasn't changed anything about why the gross family keeps coming back. If they would just find it in their heart and relieve some of the stress off their shoulders because I would hope they feel convicted enough and come forward. Um, that's where my hope is. Eight years later, they're still here. Still hoping someone somewhere finally says something in Phoenix. Androma homes. Fox 10 news.
