You know, last week I was really looking forward
to watching UFC 329.
I'm like getting all excited.
That was a great undercard.
Dana put one of the best cards together
and I'm getting ready for Max Holloway
versus Conor McGregor too.
I'm sitting there getting all ready
and all of a sudden, get this,
without a doubt, Conor McGregor pulls a Conor McGregor.
Everyone was betting on McGregor too.
Now, there was some reports that people ran to the gate
to put a couple hundred thousand dollars.
There was a dude that put $300,000 on Max Holloway
because the rumors prior to the final
was that he was already with a pre-injury
prior to going into the octagon.
So, Conor McGregor and Dana once again
pulled one over on us.
You know, at least back in the day
when Mike Tyson had the one round knockouts,
Tyson hit somebody and knocked someone into the front seats
and we all were like, man, I didn't get my money,
but at least Tyson hit somebody.
Conor McGregor got $15 million to do a kick
and land on his leg and that's how he's gonna end his time
potentially in the octagon.
Now, you gotta think about this.
He's 39 years old.
He turned 39 this week.
This is an 18 month injury.
So, you're talking potentially about him coming back
at the age of 41 and is he gonna be able
to still sell a fight?
Are you gonna wanna run this thing back again?
What an absolute sham this was that Dana White, UFC,
and Conor McGregor put over on the fan base.
You know, I even tweeted out that you're looking at Dana now
as the modern day Don King.
Hey, look, it's one thing to take advantage of your fans,
but this is how you lose your fans.
When you're putting products like this out,
I believe like a lot of people do,
that he had that injury prior to this fight
and that he had to go into the ring
so that he could get his money
and Dana said the fight must go on.
Everyone was saying that he had an injury
prior to this fight and yet you still went on
and put the final on.
How in God's name are you servicing the people
that have made UFC what UFC is?
It was one of the biggest disgraces that you could have
for an athlete ending their career
the way that Conor McGregor reportedly has ended his career.
That is, again, with an injury,
knowing that he had it prior to the fight with Max Holloway.
Look, you talk about legacy,
you talk about how you wanna leave a game,
you talk about how you wanna go out.
I get it, not everybody's gonna go out like John Elway,
winning back-to-back Super Bowls
or maybe even what we're gonna watch here with Messi
and how Messi potentially could win his second World Cup.
I mean, I get it,
but Conor McGregor has been really all show.
If for really a horrible guy,
this is probably an appropriate ending to a guy's career.
This guy's not been one of your better citizens.
This guy's not been one of the better faces
when it comes to promoting UFC.
People don't like the guy.
People were rooting against the guy,
but yet people were betting on the guy.
And I will give you this about McGregor.
He is clearly one of the greatest promoters of fights
I've ever seen, and maybe since Ali.
Nobody can promote a fight like Conor McGregor.
He had me hooked.
I was ready to watch the fight.
I'm sitting there and I'm excited to see,
and then again, it just shows you
where he is in his career now.
There's nothing left except for the mouth.
And for him to end his career,
that's how he's gonna bow out,
and that's how you're going to remember.
UFC fans are going to see the last image
of Conor McGregor walking out of a ring
with a phony knee injury.
I don't know.
I mean, you can tell me all you want.
He blew his knee out, and Joe Rogan sitting there,
and Dana and everyone going, hey, he blew his knee out.
I don't believe it.
I think that fight, again, was a prime example
of who Conor McGregor was,
and who Conor McGregor has become.
Do you really think he wanted to take punches
and fight in that final against Max Holloway?
Max Holloway was gonna fight this guy,
and it was gonna be big-time fighting in there,
and he didn't want to get hit.
Sometimes athletes, at the end of their careers, folks,
they don't want to get hit.
Now, this is my opinion,
but I think the guy put a sham over on us,
and it was a scam,
and those guys put on one of the worst displays
of sportsmanship in UFC history.
You put on a fight that everyone knows
that shouldn't have went on,
and because you wanted to make the money
and the hits and the views,
Dana White has now gone into that gutter.
Unbelievable.
You put that on,
and that's how you took advantage of your fans?
Man, what a way to go out.
You go out with people, once again,
not liking you as a human,
and completely disrespecting you and your career now
on the way out the door.
