Today we're going to paint a snowy owl. For this painting, we only need ink, yellow, and orange
color. And wet your color pigment 10 minutes before you start to paint. To start, take some
ink and start with the eyes. When you paint the eyes, make sure that your brush is pretty dry
and do not retain too much water in your brush belly. Otherwise, the eyes may look murky as you
paint. There are a few dark spots on the top of the head and then the beak is almost hidden
because it was so cold that there were feathers all over the bird's face. For the soft feather
and the pattern, I press the tip of my brush to create a fan and then take some ink to paint
very lightly. Snowy owls are mostly white but not completely white. There are some dark patterns on
the plumage. The other features are the yellow eyes and black beak. This color combination works
well with Chinese watercolor because we mostly use ink and simple color. Well, I only use very
few colors and I like simplicity. Now I'm switching to use a large brush to paint the
rock for the birds to perch on because it's always on the look for
rodents. And then the sharp claws. Back to the eyes, I'm using mainly yellow color with a touch
of orange to get the gradient. Thanks for watching. I hope you like this video and learn something.
I'll see you next time.
