Chinese Painting Lesson Pair of Butterflies Inspired by Butterfly Lovers

Inspired by the story of the Butterfly Lovers (often referred to as the Chinese Romeo and Juliet). This is the story of Liang Shanbo (梁山伯) and Zhu Yingtai (祝英臺) star-crossed lovers who transcend family obstacles and even death itself by becoming butterflies so that they can be together forever. Aspects of the story also served as inspiration for the Disney movie Mulan.

Ling Chi offers a simple composition of a pair of butterflies inspired by the story. She paints on Pre-Mounted Xuan Paper featuring two new brushes: Full Orchid, and Dancing Crane.
