Early morning walk through the village of Whelford in the Cotswolds, where the rising sun slowly lights up the countryside and the River Coln flows quietly through the landscape.
This walk is filled with birdsong, calm water, open lakes and the gentle sounds of nature waking up for the day. As the first sunlight reaches the trees and fields, Whelford offers a wonderfully peaceful start to the morning.
There is no talking or music, just the natural sounds of birds, flowing water and the quiet beauty of the English countryside.
Whelford is a small village in Gloucestershire, close to Fairford, situated beside the River Coln in the eastern Cotswolds. The village has historic roots dating back many centuries and remains a peaceful rural community surrounded by open countryside.
The River Coln has long shaped the landscape here, providing water for agriculture and creating a rich habitat for wildlife. Today, the surrounding lakes, wetlands and riverside meadows attract a wide variety of birds throughout the year, making Whelford a popular location for nature lovers and walkers.
The village itself is made up of traditional stone cottages, quiet country lanes and open green spaces, offering a slower pace of life that has changed little over generations.
