There's a lot of badasses in BKFC, and you're in a really, really deep division, man, right?
So there's a lot of just sort of killers. I always find it's like, man, it's hard to stand out because
like everybody's sort of a badass, and there's a lot of dudes that put like these waiting streaks
together, and you're not the type of guy that's going to say stupid stuff for the sake of saying
it. Some dudes do it, you know, works for them, okay, fine. It's not in your DNA to do that.
You let your fist do the talking, but it seems now, I mean, you've always talked about you just
want them to notice, listen, how good you are, and give you a chance. Getting a call for a main
event has to feel pretty good knowing that, all right, the company does see something in me.
Otherwise, they're not giving me a main event. Yeah, I'm just grateful for it. Yeah, like you
said, I don't talk trash. My kids watch this stuff. I have the hardest time trying to be fake,
which I should be better at, maybe sell the fights a little more, but it's just not who I am,
so yeah, finally, you know, get a couple knockout of the nights in a row, and finally,
they're noticing, and yeah, short turnaround right to Sturgis, main event, number one contender spot,
so yeah, it's finally paying off, my man. What do you think of some of the smack talk that you
see now, bro? Like, it's way over the top, right? It used to just sort of be like, I'm better than
you, and like, you know what, I'm tougher, I'm going to knock you out or whatnot, but like,
like the family talk now, like there's nothing off limits, it seems, and fans eat it up. Like,
I don't like it personally, either. Like, I find these guys are cringe, bro, and like,
it's like, dude, if you're really good, I don't mind a little showmanship, but like,
some of it, what do you see when you see some of these fighters, and like, just thinking,
like, bro, do you have any, like, morals at all, or you just don't care, right, like?
Yeah, I think some of it's entertaining, but like you said, once you start crossing that line with
family and personal stuff, it's really cringy. I think we're, it's going to like a pro wrestling
approach. I think a lot of these guys are going there, and I don't like it. I find some of it
entertaining, like that Lex Ludlow dude, like his last, uh, his post-fight interview, I actually
like that. That was, that was pretty good, like. He actually is funny, isn't he? Like, when he
jumps through the ropes, how can you not laugh? Yeah, and he, I mean, he's putting his name out
there, and he's, people know this, and he fought somebody that has like a, you know, losing record
really bad. It was a, it was a layup for him, and you know, but he's got his name out there,
and now he might get like a title shot, or he might get a big fight because of that, so
I can see the value in it, but not for me.
