How have you enjoyed the Philippines?
It's the most simple, basic human thing that is like the seed of everything else.
Good morning from a very sunny, very warm, beauty sea.
Super hot.
I know I keep talking about the weather, but I feel like when we first got here, however
long ago, it was like manageable and there was a breeze.
Look at how bright it is as well.
And now it's like that hot, hot, hot bit of the year
where it just feels very humid and very, very warm.
But I'm not complaining, because in England, in the vlogs, all we do is moan about how cold it is.
So I can't be seen to be moaning about the heat,
because that's just completely wrong in every way.
But anyway, hope you're all doing well. Welcome back to another video.
I'm out this morning to...
Actually, I'm being a very kind partner.
I'm going to get George a coffee.
As dramatic as it sounds, he was like,
I'll go and get a coffee, but he actually had some work to do in the room.
So I was like, you know what, you get that done,
I'll go for a nice little stroll, selfishly, have a bit of time to myself,
go and get George's coffee and just enjoy the high street a little bit
before it gets busier later.
It's still morning time and I feel like here things sort of open later,
things start later.
So it's nice sort of being here where it's a little bit quieter.
That is the plan this morning.
And while we're here, I actually wanted to see if it was busy at the BGC portal.
And if you're watching from, if you're not in BGC
and you don't know what I'm talking about, you haven't seen this.
There is a new, I don't know how many, I think it's fairly new still,
kind of a portal to, I was going to say another world,
it's definitely not another world, to other countries.
You may have seen this like in the news.
There's several places around the world that have got this portal where,
I mean, it sounds strange saying it, you could just say,
well, pick the phone up and call someone in that country or go on FaceTime.
But you get to see like a street in a different country
and you can like say hi to strangers that you otherwise would never ever meet.
And I think it's a really cool concept.
So if it's not too busy, we've been past it a couple of times
and there's always a huge crowd.
So I'm not just going to like start filming everyone's experiences there.
I wanted to wait until it was a bit quieter.
And I'm hoping that because I'm out early, I can grab it and see it for my own eyes.
But I think it's so cool.
And I love that the Philippines is involved in this.
I saw quite a funny thing on Instagram the other day that said, and I don't know,
I've sort of taken this on as my own as well.
Obviously, I'm not Filipino, Filipina at all.
But I kind of feel like I'm involved in the country more
and I feel like part of the country in a way,
just because we spent so much time here and we have such a connection to it.
So I saw this meme and I kind of resonated with it.
And it was like if there was a snail competition
and one of the snails was from the Philippines,
every Filipino will be like cheering the snail on.
And I was like, I totally feel that.
Any time there's like a mention of a Filipino person
or someone in a sporting event or anything, really.
I'm like, yes, I want them to win.
I'm like supporting them.
And it's really weird.
I don't even feel that for my own country,
which just feels very wrong and odd and flipped.
But it is a reality for us nonetheless.
So the fact that the Philippines, the fact that Manila is involved in this
and it's one of the sort of chosen countries for it, I think it's amazing.
And it's like it's up there.
It's just with all of the other countries.
And it's like a sort of a first thing in the world.
I've never seen this anywhere else before.
So I feel kind of I don't know if I can say proud because I can't be proud.
But can I be proud?
I don't know if I'm saying this right.
Like, I do feel proud, but I'm not from the Philippines.
So it makes no sense, really.
But it's in my own head. I don't know.
But anyway, yeah.
So I'm going to go and hopefully try and show you that this morning.
And we'll see, see if we can get anyone waving to us from
I think it's like the US.
I don't know where in the US.
Poland, Ireland and maybe one other.
Yeah, we'll go and check it out.
Get George's coffee on the way back through.
Head back to the hotel and go and see the boys.
There's also like a new fountain area here in the middle bit of the high street
where the big screen is here.
And there's like loads of fountains here, which is quite fun.
And in the in the hot weather, like how amazing.
I mean, I kind of wish I was a kid sometimes.
If I just started running around in that in this dress,
everyone would say, what are you doing? Get out.
So unfortunately, I can't really partake.
I wish I was a kid again so I could just go and run around in the fountain.
So this is a portal here, and I'm coming to it from behind.
It's got some stuff on the back.
I wanted to show you as well.
So it says a bridge, a bridge to a united planet.
Portals exist in countries around the world.
They invite us to meet above borders and differences.
And I suppose that's what it's all about.
It's about just like doesn't matter where you're from.
Just like come and say hi.
And it's got all these flowers around it, which is quite nice.
So let's see. Yeah, it's not too busy at all.
There's a couple of people.
And I guess because of the time differences,
obviously some countries it's night time right now.
So that's Poland.
And there's no one there at all.
But let's see. Let's wait and see if anyone comes in.
It's really weird because you forget that you can be watched right now.
So I'm here thinking it's just me on my own, just looking at no one
because no one's there, but they can see me and I'm vlogging right now.
They can see me like filming myself.
Just sort of stood here.
And it's quite a wide shot as well from them.
So I'm assuming like most of this is in it.
But I want to see their view.
I want to see.
Oh, there's someone there.
No, it's not looking.
Someone in Ireland.
I guess the shot is like this.
It must look amazing
because this is like the most epic shot of BGC with the skyscrapers
and the 3D screen here, which I still think is amazing.
Yeah, so we're in Ireland right now.
I don't know which part of Ireland.
I wish they kind of gave you a name of the city, a bit more about the location.
But yeah, there's just random people.
Let's see what time it is in Ireland, actually.
Oh, my goodness. It's 4 a.m.
So there's seven hours behind.
Because the clocks went forward in the UK recently.
So we're now a seven hour time difference, not an eight hour.
So it's 4 a.m.
There's still a fair few people walking about.
And I keep thinking that there's cars going by,
but that's actually the reflection behind me here.
Wow. So there's Brazil as well.
But again, no one there.
What time is it in Brazil?
So it's just gone midnight in Brazil.
So again, no one there.
I really wonder, though, if like there's a London one, right?
I can't imagine if we could get one of our family members
to like go to the London bit and wave.
And then, I mean, again,
you could just pick the FaceTime up and just call them.
But how funny would it be to like see someone that, you know,
like actually through the portal?
It'd be really cool.
So let me know if anyone's done that,
because all you need to do is know where it is in both places and just hope.
I mean, I think the rotation of countries does change slightly
because there were definitely some there like Brazil wasn't there yesterday.
And I didn't see a UK one just then.
So I think they probably change a little bit.
But yeah, so cool.
OK, coffee acquired.
Georgia's Black White.
I went for an iced yucca hazelnut latte.
Don't know why.
Just quite like trying the random cold drink sometimes in a coffee shop.
It has, I think it said thick hazelnut cold foam or something.
It sounded quite nice.
And there was like some kind of thing she put on top of it.
I'll show you when we get back to the hotel.
Although it's being carried in a paper bag right now,
so it's probably being sloshed around.
And I won't have much to show you by the time I get there.
It'll probably be mixed in, but that's all good.
It will taste great, I'm sure.
And something to keep cool in this heat.
And I think we're going to head to the pool soon as well,
because as much as I love walking around B2C High Street,
the kids, it's great early morning or like when the sun's setting.
This time of day, it's a bit too intense for them.
And we're basically just ending up carrying Coda
because it gets too hot and it gets like super,
I think the heat makes kids exhausted.
It makes adults exhausted as well.
But I think it affects them more.
And then we're just like keeping them out of the sun.
We're trying to find the shade.
So it's definitely easier and funner and nicer to head out.
Maybe we'll head out this evening with them.
Coda quite likes playing along the high street
and there's all like the little fountain area
and like things to climb on and stuff.
There's always other kids like running around.
You often make some friends over here, which is really nice.
So, yeah, that'll probably be later on.
But for now, heading to the pool.
Have we got a room key?
OK, good.
Anyone else do that?
Like so many times I've left the hotel room without the room key
and I've had to go to reception to ask them to get a new key.
It's happened many times over the years.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for waiting.
Thank you. Thank you.
Well, it is time now for my second favourite time of day.
Oh my goodness, stop making that joke.
I'm joking.
Lucy has banned me from making that joke.
I mean, sorry if you find it funny in the comments.
If you've only done one or two vlogs, fine.
Fifteen or sixteen vlogs, a bit too far in my opinion.
Yeah, maybe I've said it a little bit too much.
I'll come up with some new jokes.
Yeah, new jokes are great.
I'll get on chat GPT and obviously, as I was saying,
when we're writing the scripts for these vlogs,
I'll try and incorporate some new jokes.
But anyway, we are here at the pool bar.
Good afternoon.
We are we're not going to swim,
but we're going to eat because we thought getting everyone changed,
getting wet and the boys.
Not that it's no effort.
We swam here yesterday.
Not that we can't make the effort, but we want to enjoy this food.
We want to focus.
We want to get fresh buko.
They've got fresh buko juice in Manila.
I want to sit up while eating, not in a sun lounger.
Yes, that is absolutely true.
This way, matey.
We can fully enjoy, I've put the camera down,
there's probably people swimming and stuff,
but we can fully enjoy the newly renovated pool area
and pool bar that they've got here at the hotel, at SEDA.
So SEDA, SEDA, SEDA, I don't know.
We still don't answer.
We should just ask them.
Coda, I hate to break it to you.
I don't know if we can get there this way.
I don't think we can without swimming.
And I don't think, I mean,
unless you just want to go for it and get all our clothes wet.
Yeah, I don't know, man.
I don't think, what?
OK, just looking at what they do here,
and I have never, like some stuff I expect,
I have never seen a lasagna on a pool bar menu.
I'm here for the lasagna.
I'm tempted. I'm tempted.
A lasagna, it doesn't feel like the most poolside meal, but,
you know, I can't imagine ever saying no to a lasagna.
Been travelling like so fast paced up to now on this trip.
Two night stays, three night stays, moving around airports.
It's got so constant and amazing.
But like, it's been chaos, hasn't it?
Like with the kids and again, amazing.
So grateful for it.
But it's actually been really nice having a bit more time in BGC
just to like, I mean, today is our first day back, really.
We got here yesterday, but our first full day
and not having too many plans.
Oh, my goodness.
My hair has actually been really nice.
Not having to rush out to go and do something because up to now
on the trip, it's been like morning activity, afternoon activity,
breakfast, lunch, dinner in between, Remy's naps.
It's been like quite a lot.
And I wouldn't have changed it for the world
because it's been absolutely amazing.
But travel is tiring at the best of times.
Plus, adding two young kids to the mix.
Coda had an ear infection at the start of the trip, bless him.
So we were dealing with that.
And then there's been a few moments like Remy's been teething quite badly.
So I think the kids kind of needed a day where we just like chilled a bit more.
And yeah, being at the pool bar now, having some snacks.
They've done the whole bar up really nicely.
It looks really nice.
And it's just a nice, relaxing place to be.
But also like being in the hub at BGC.
So after this, we might go for a stroll on the high street as it gets a bit cooler.
It just feels like a nice, chill day that is needed.
So if you're watching this and life's been crazy recently and life's been chaos,
take this as a reminder to slow down if you can as well.
Maybe just like take a bit of time.
Take 10 minutes to yourself.
Go for a walk.
Sit down with a nice drink. Read your book.
I don't know.
Just like take a bit of a pocket of your day if you can do that.
So like not do too much because, yeah, we're always we never rest.
We always just go, go, go.
And it's good to like slow down sometimes as well.
Look at me getting serious.
I think this is my first ever serious vlog flick on the channel.
So welcome.
And I've now made it not serious by adding a joke to the end of it.
Anyways, we'll let you know when the food comes.
Put Fresh Booker on the way.
Very excited for that.
Oh, yeah.
My friend the other day put an Instagram reel out, Christina,
and she said that in World War Two, I believe it was,
they used buko, fresh buko juice as like an IV drip because it's sterile
and it's so high in like it's like electrolytes and stuff.
How crazy is that?
Like I can't you can't imagine that happening today, obviously.
But buko is amazing.
And it's full of such good stuff.
Nature's electrolyte.
Nature's sports drink, she said, actually, which is very true.
So we try and have one a day when we can while we're out here.
And annoyingly, while we were out here at the Hennen Hotel in Boracay,
we bought two fresh buko juices in bottles,
put them in the fridge to have the next day.
Checked out without looking in the fridge.
They're now still in the fridge.
They're probably not anymore.
But annoying.
Anyway, I'm rambling.
I'm going to ramble, George.
George doesn't listen to a word I'm saying.
Or Koda, he said, I want to play the Pokemon game.
I said, I said, I want to ramble.
What a lovely evening in BGC.
We've just come out.
Koda's having a play.
Oh, we got some strobilites again behind us.
Remy's chilling in the buggy.
You good, Rems?
How have you enjoyed the Philippines?
Actually, there's one new skill that he's learned in the Philippines.
Let me demonstrate.
Remy, high five.
High five.
Oh, it's because I'm doing it at an awkward angle for him.
High five.
When you want to show something off on camera,
it just doesn't do it.
He's done it every single other time, haven't you, Remy?
High five.
He's not doing it.
High five, Remy.
No, he's just waving.
He's basically learned how to high five here,
but maybe not to me.
Maybe to, like, people who come up to him in the hotel and stuff like that.
Let's try one more time, Remy.
Ready, Remy?
Remy, high five.
High five.
Yeah, you try.
Yeah, OK, there you go.
Demonstration.
Just not for me.
Cheers, mate.
Thanks a lot.
This is such a nice time of evening to come out.
I was actually,
I was jealous of my future self last night.
I was jealous of me right now
because we looked out of our window at this exact time, 1753.
We were at the rooftop.
Were we? Already by then.
OK, a little bit before then.
We were looking out of our hotel window and we didn't come down here last night.
Apologies, you are right.
But am I right?
Yeah, you are.
We got there at six.
On camera, I got something right over Lucy.
Yeah, but I like to admit when I'm wrong.
No, you don't.
I very much admit when I'm wrong.
You're the king of Wakanda.
That's the biggest lie I've ever heard.
How can you lie on camera like that?
You do not.
You do not admit when you're wrong.
Neither do you.
True.
You are so stubborn.
People think I'm a bad guy and that George is a nice guy.
No, they don't.
I think actually.
I do wonder what like underlying narratives people make of us.
People always message me saying that I'm mean to you.
But it's not true.
Oh, yeah, I remember that.
We used to get that a lot.
I think Lucy used to be very...
I'm just sarcastic.
Dry and like, yeah.
And kind of hilarious.
But people used to think it was serious.
Before, if they just watch one or two videos, they don't really know us.
And they're like, why is she being mean?
And it's like, oh, she's really mean to him.
But I mean, it's true as well.
But most of the meanness is off camera.
Exactly.
Or cut out.
Can you turn the camera off, please?
Wow, he's a rock boy.
Oh, my gosh, you're Patrick Star.
Wow.
Good boy.
You're Patrick Star living under a rock.
Come on, lift it up.
Ready?
Help me lift it.
Ready?
One, two, three.
No chance, guys.
It's not happening.
Oh, well, we tried.
Get in the gym, you two.
Says who?
Says me.
I might...
No.
I'm not going to the gym.
Oh, that's a lie.
I'm going to the gym tonight.
Three, go.
Go, go, go.
And he wants your super car.
OK, let's go.
Here we go.
One, two, three.
If we can do some cool editing,
it'll make it look like it's just flung over the whole high street.
Just some AI, you know.
It's quite a dramatic car.
It is, yeah.
As I was saying, really nice time of evening to come out.
The sun's gone.
It's no longer like just shining on your face and burning you.
It's warm.
Hello, mate.
It's warm, but not too warm.
There's a nice breeze.
And for me, as I've said before, it's all about this atmosphere here.
There's just so many people out and about just enjoying.
Koda, if this turns on, this is a big water feature that we're stood right under now.
If this turns on, mate, we're screwed.
We're getting soaked.
But it's not on today.
Yeah, I just love BGC High Street.
It's like the hub of BGC for everyone, basically.
I was going to say for us, but not just for us, for everyone.
What an atmosphere.
I feel like we're in London or something.
We've come into St.
Louis, which is one of our favorite all time spots in BGC.
And we've got some ice cream and a mango shake on the way.
We used to come here all the time.
We used to order from this place.
And it's good to see it so busy and packed.
I really feel like we're like in an evening in London,
like the hustle and bustle, like a busy kind of restaurant.
And my mango smoothie has just arrived.
They do a mango shake and a mango smoothie.
This one's like with milk.
So I thought, change it up a bit. Try that.
Oh, that's really, oh, that's really good.
Super creamy.
Or do you know what they could put in here?
Some mango ice cream and just blend it all together.
These guys in the kitchen as well and everyone serving.
These guys are working hard.
You can tell like it's super busy.
They're running around.
But it all looks very efficient.
Our stuff came out super quick.
So good to see two years on.
This place is still thriving.
Respect and a shout out to anyone working in a place like this.
Jobs like these, I don't think I could do it.
It's super stressful.
Well, I kind of I have done it in the past, but yeah, full respect
because it's not easy, especially when you're dealing with customers.
You have to be like
polite and calm and not pass on your stress to the customer and stuff like that.
OK, we're back at the portal for take two.
Because earlier, did I tell you, George, didn't see a single person.
I know you said, yeah.
But there's loads of people hanging around.
Yeah, there's got to be some waves.
Surely one wave is all I want.
One wave. We'll get one wave.
It's going to be daytime in some of these places now.
Can't believe how busy it is tonight.
Actually crazy.
What?
30 more people said hi guys.
Did she? Oh, I didn't hear her.
Not to us. I don't think to us.
Oh, it's just like more like being a vlogger.
Yeah. Oh, look. Oh, let's see.
How funny. So we're in London.
She's doing the six, seven thing. Hilarious.
I like how people don't smile.
They're just like they're looking really seriously.
Like they're just staring, not smiling at all.
That's amazing.
Classic Londoner in the middle.
Frowning.
Still no one in Brazil.
But it does look very nice.
Looks like a little beach resort or something.
So cool.
I wanted to like ask my dad to go to the London one
and meet us there at a certain time and just surprise Koda.
How fun would that be?
So funny.
That would be so cool.
I was saying earlier, their view must be really cool
because it's like all this in the background, Josh.
I know. I want to see what.
Yeah. We need to go to London.
Oh, when we get back, let's go to London.
Yeah. Go to the border and then see BGC.
That would be so good and then no one would care.
Yeah. How cool would that be though?
Hey, here we go. Lithuania.
Don't come this way.
This is so cute. Humans are so cute.
We're just like filming each other in different countries.
Humans are so cute.
Looks cold. Everyone's in coats.
It must look so hot in there.
So funny.
Everyone's doing six, seven.
Everyone's doing it. It's so funny.
Aww.
It's so sweet.
Isn't it the sweetest thing ever?
Isn't it just the sweetest thing in the world?
It's so cool. It's just like,
it's human beings at the core.
Everything going on in the world is stripped back.
Humans waving at each other.
And being like, oh, you're in a different country.
Hi. Oh my God, you can see me.
It's like the most simple, basic human thing.
Yeah. It's like the seed of everything else.
Oh, I love it. I actually really love it.
