And why do you think you've been able
to not do any research? Because you did it all.
Pierogies are why we're back in Poland, let's face it.
That is exactly how I remember them
that's incredible. Love these colourful buildings
so much. Hello everyone welcome
back to a brand new video welcome back
to a travel vlog we are heading back to
Poland. We are so excited. We went to Krakow last year and,
well no, the year before I think. I was
very pregnant when we went. I remember that.
The baby that I was pregnant with is now over a year
old so it's actually been quite a long time.
But this time we are heading to a new area that we've
not been to before and it's pronounced very differently
to how I imagined. So reading it
as an English person, I assumed it was like raw claw
or something like that. It's actually
pronounced Wrocław because it's like, yeah,
completely different to how it's written out.
But yeah, so excited. The pictures look amazing.
We've got so many fun things
Fun things to do.
We're back to somewhere that has plenty
of one of my favorite foods ever, pierogies, pierogi.
I think I'm pronouncing that correctly.
So good.
Polish food is like next level
and I'm so happy to be going back.
This isn't, this is Lebanese food actually.
But Polish food's amazing.
This is Lebanese food.
We've got some lunch here at the airport.
We're flying from Stansted this time.
Our flights are like 2 p.m. so not too bad.
Quite a nice time to fly.
And then yeah, got loads of fun plans for the next few days.
Yeah, you can have some wraps.
A beautiful evening setting here.
This is, well, not evening.
Is it evening?
It's an hour later than the UK, I believe.
It's around 5pm.
Look at this, though.
Very nice.
I was called at 6k.
Very stunning airport here.
Green trees.
It's all very modern and clean.
Really, really nice.
We've never, ever been here.
We are in Wrocław, which I had to Google
the pronunciation again just to get it right
because it's completely different to how it's spelt,
how we would say it by default in English.
And we had to do that last time we went to Kraków.
So we are now in our transfer from the airport to the hotel.
I'm not sure how long the drive is.
I have left my first impressions of this place purely
to this video and to this moment in time.
I have done not a lot of Googling.
Some places we go, I like watch a vlog or two on the place.
It's a long way.
Koda's hungry.
I haven't done that for this place.
So I'm very excited to, in this video,
put across exactly like a raw kind of live, not live,
because obviously you're watching this after it's filmed,
but I hope you know what I mean.
genuine real reaction as we go around over the next couple of days.
And why do you think you've been able to not do any research?
Thank you very much.
Because you did it all.
Lucy is the planner amongst the two of us and she plans trips
tremendously well. Imagine if I just didn't
plan anything we were just here if nothing
worked. I mean we'd have a great time.
It would be kind of fun I think it would be
but Lucy is very good so we have a lot of stuff planned for this week.
here we are onto our room we are going to dump the bags
and head out for dinner but we wanted
to show you the room first
which we haven't actually seen this place i've not been any
further than this yet you can see me very smooth it
was like 25 minute drive and it looks really
nice from what i've seen so far everything looks
so like clean and modern and a bit like a mix of
old and new which we love
and um yeah really excited to be you're talking about Wrocław not
Not the hotel.
Yes. Yes. The city. It looks amazing. Wow.
This is huge. This is massive. Yeah. This is a nice
room. Oh, wow. This is insane. Look at this.
Go through there. Go through there, mate. The TV's
through there. Oh, there's one big one as well.
Check out the bedroom though. Wow. Just to give
Give you a look of our room.
I say room, it's pretty much like
Pretty much like an apartment, this is crazy.
Big thanks to Radisson Blu.
They are hosting us for this stay.
They are friends of the channel.
We stayed with them in some different countries.
Actually, have we?
Yeah, we have stayed with them in the UK
and our previous Poland trip as well.
They always look after us and we can 100%,
not just because we work with them,
but 100% recommend Radisson Blu.
I mean, look.
Amazing, they sort out the airport transfer as well for us.
I'm gonna quickly see if we have a view.
Oh, which we definitely do.
Oh my goodness, this place is so green.
Just the first impressions of this city
is that it's beautiful.
There's some people down there.
Oh, there's like a little art thing going on down there.
And even just a glimpse of this building
is like kind of similar to the buildings we saw before
on our previous trip in Krakow.
Wow, and then that master bedroom.
And then a big bathroom.
How is it, Remy?
Wow, that's your bath, isn't it?
Bath, yeah, bath, you're gonna have a nice bath here.
Bath, wow, double sink, very nice.
When you watch these vlogs,
hopefully it looks like we know what we're doing
and where we're going,
but that does take a little bit of planning
behind the scenes.
Basically, before we go,
we always look at what we can book in advance,
and you can often actually save a bit of money
if you book in advance too.
I often use Head Up for this, which can be really handy.
Head Up is an app where you can book experiences,
Tours, attractions, that sort of thing, all in one place.
So you can either plan ahead or you can open the app
when you're already in the place
and you can see what it's about.
I actually find Headout more reliable than some of the other apps
because they actually curate the experiences
and they only allow trusted partners to list on their platform.
So you just have peace of mind when you're traveling
because they give a 100% experience guarantee.
So for this trip to Wrocław,
I've been looking at Skip the Line tickets they do for the zoo,
which is something we really want to do here.
And if you click our link and sign up,
you will get a $10 credit to your Headout wallet
Over the next year it's only available to the first 100 people
who use it. So if that interests you go and check it out
There's a link in the description pinned comment
So yeah
Go and get your 10 dollar credit in your Headout wallet link
in the description and pinned comment as I said and i'm gonna do
A little bit more planning for this trip. Okay bags have been dropped
We've done a very small amount of unpacking
but we're gonna do the rest later
We're far too excited to go out and get some food
that little cafe bike coffee a little coffee shop on a bike here
Very cool.
Just checking if they're open in the morning because that might
be quite a good little spot to come out from for our morning coffee.
But yeah, we're heading out now.
We are walking to a restaurant for dinner
that's like a 10 minute walk away.
It's basically in the main hub, the main area.
But we are in such a good location here.
Everything we want to do is kind of all around us.
That was one of the main reasons we wanted to stay here
as well at Radisson Blu.
I think when you travel, location is just top of the list.
Because if you spend a little bit more and get the location you want,
you're going to actually save money like on taxis and stuff.
Because you're already in the location, so I think people...
People maybe that want to stay further out to save costs
actually might end up spending more money on transport to get in,
in some instances.
So I always feel like my number one travel is get a good location,
get somewhere that is going to connect you well
to all the things that you want to do.
But yeah, look at this beautiful lighting.
It's now 7pm here, 6 o'clock UK time.
Perfect dinner time.
It's a Sunday today for us.
You may be thinking, why are you in flip-flops
when this video is going out in the winter?
We actually filmed this video when you're watching,
I think maybe two months ago.
So it's the end of summer here, I would say.
Coming into autumn, it's still quite warm.
How do you cross the road here?
Do they, oh, they let you go.
Okay, thanks.
I couldn't remember how you cross the road here
because some countries,
the pedestrians really have the right of way
and I think that must be the case here
because I was barely sticking out and she let me go.
And then, yeah, and the same here.
Okay, I remember it.
The cars let you go here.
It's that British thing we do.
I saw an Instagram reel,
hilarious things British people do,
put in your hands up to say thank you.
Is that not a thing?
It's not in every country.
So it looked really weird from doing this.
And apparently to other people in other countries,
it looks really weird.
So I don't know if we're supposed to be doing it.
Oh, I've got to say thank you. What else
am I going to do? I can't not say thank you.
Yeah, so, so good to be back.
And I feel like this is, it feels very Sunday-ish.
Everyone's just out and it's a nice time of day.
Beautiful vibe. How clean and...
It's so fresh and like...
Like I said, I had no expectations other than I did read before
that it's made up of islands, this place.
Yeah, yeah.
It's made up of, if you don't know...
We'll put a picture in here.
Welcome to the educational, yeah, put a little map here maybe.
This is the only educational part of this entire video.
Yeah.
VR of just random raw facts and opinions and food.
So Wroclaw is made up of, I think it was 12 islands.
Connected by a hundred bridges.
But do not take us for facts here.
That may be wrong.
How many bridges we have to cross to get around the place.
I don't think we're crossing any yet.
Sorry to disappoint you.
I think dinner's not actually on any bridge crossings.
Okay, so something famous here.
These gnomes are apparently everywhere.
We spotted our first two.
We found the first one.
Oh, there's one over there as well.
That's quite fitting.
It's quite, like we're always on that one.
Yeah, it's a little digital nomad gnome.
Gnome, rather.
Gnome.
Wow, do you know what? I am a vibes person, meaning I can very quickly,
within a couple of minutes, tell if I kind of like a place,
would I visit again, am I going to enjoy it here, or not.
Is it somewhere I'd maybe still find interesting and go and see,
but maybe wouldn't need to come back.
I'm thinking this is the first option.
I'm feeling good about this place whether it's
a Sunday thing maybe because people are kind of
relaxed but people are just out walking
in the evening I like places where people seem to be
just having a good time I think it's the simplest way
to sum it up I've said it before when we've
traveled many many different places on the vlog
but just seeing like people are walking out with
their families everyone's kind
of just walking slowly chilling cruising along it is a Sunday
remember it is a Sunday so we're here all week
so we're gonna see how it feels during the week but
But right now there's like so many little restaurants.
Look at that, put some space up there,
guys in the top of that building.
Oh, yeah.
That was an option for me, now.
There's like a cool pizza place here,
some clothing stores and I think I loved the kind of,
it's not cobbled streets, but these kind of streets.
It's got like an old school kind of
feel to it where I guess traditionally,
I'm not too sure, but I mean these buildings look old,
but now of course modern life is within it.
I mean look at this, how nice is this with people
sat outside eating a Mexican place there.
There are market stalls just along this street.
Selling I guess handmade things all looks
really nice I believe now we are not too far
away from the food place that we're going to for dinner
which I'm very excited about because
pierogies are why we're back
in Poland let's face it let's be honest about that.
Yeah this is super nice my kind of place outdoor wining and dining.
Okay, wow, everything I just said walking down that street back there,
before I even seen this, is suddenly just summed up by this place.
I saw these houses, a couple of photos online,
I saw them, they just looked so nice.
Someone called this city in Poland
the prettiest Polish city, I know a lot...
No, I heard the prettiest city in Europe.
Oh, in Europe, I mean, yeah, I mean...
It's so cool, I love all the buildings.
It's just stunning, it's absolutely blown away.
I love a square, I love a main square.
And I think because we're here in summer,
this is really giving that European summer vibe.
Yeah, I mean just do a little, oh is he, I don't know.
Do you want me to see?
Yeah, he's kind of asleep, that screws us up for later.
It's fine.
Oh bless him.
It's fine, we'll make it work.
Yeah, that does screw us up for later, or we just stay out all night.
He'll go
on and on.
And for any parents watching with young kids,
it's quite a buggy-friendly city so far.
It's cobbled streets, but they're not really deep cobbles.
They're, like, fairly smooth, if that makes sense.
So we're not struggling with the buggy.
I mean, the buggy's actually for this one,
but our eldest is in it at the moment
because he's flagging a bit and he's a bit tired,
so he's taking the opportunity to have a rest in the buggy.
Why not? I think I would if I could, but this is beautiful.
I'm glad we've come out to do this tonight.
We were thinking if it got a bit too late,
I mean, maybe we should have stayed in
because it's a sleeping carrier,
but we had the plan to maybe order in to the hotel.
We're going to the hotel tonight just because keep the boys
in their routine but we were like you know what let's just go out
enjoy some Polish food for dinner because you've got to do it.
It's got to be done on your first night. And I'm really glad we have.
We've got our bearings a little bit as well.
This is like the main area I think.
We've got quite a few plans over the next few days.
I think we're taking a boat trip tomorrow as well which will
be in this video. We're going to do like day one and two in this vlog.
We've got some plans to try loads
of different foods as well on this trip. Foods
that we didn't actually try last time we were here so that's exciting.
Yeah the restaurant should just be around this corner.
We've found our next gnome.
Okay, we've found our dinner place
that Lucy has very kindly researched.
We have not booked and it is Sunday and there's a little queue outside,
so let's see if we can do it.
If not today, then we can definitely come here this week.
We've come to this place, Starry Pierogi.
And we've ordered quite a lot.
Obviously with pierogies you order like...
You can order sets, you can order five of one type.
We've ordered like one of loads of different flavours to try.
So I'm very, very much looking forward to it.
It's got a really nice big menu.
We've ordered these very cheesy
butter pastry braised smoked cheese.
We've ordered a mix of the oven baked variety,
which we've never tried before, but they look amazing.
And then of course, lots of the traditional as well.
And then these potato pancakes as well.
Hey, they brought some bread over with some white beans.
I've got a rhubarb strawberry drink.
And George has got a beer.
That is my kind of drink.
Ooh, very nice.
Cheers.
That is a local, I don't know what it is.
I just asked for a small local beer
and they bought me a small local beer.
No branding or anything, is there?
No, is there?
Maybe whatever's on that glass is the beer.
Whatever it is, it is perfect.
Did you get me in the background?
Yeah.
I just dropped a whole story.
Did he?
Yum.
I don't drink that much.
Maybe on the vlogs on our other trips it looks like.
I do, but I don't.
We've also been home in the UK for a while.
Living life off camera for a little while,
since our last trip.
So I haven't had a real beer.
I do like the 0%, so I do get those in at home,
but I haven't had a real beer for quite a long time now.
And something about having a cold beer
in a situation like this, in a place like this,
for me, just for some reason, perfection.
Okay, the food's starting to come out.
We've got the potato pancakes with sour cream and chives.
Okay, slight miscommunication.
We thought we'd order one of these, but two have come.
So we are just like flooded with food.
We've got the potato pancakes.
We've got a huge mix of different pierogies here,
including a blueberry one.
The hostess has told me it's really yummy,
so I'm going to go straight in with this one here.
I kind of wish they had little flag labels
on to tell me what I was eating, but you get a surprise.
This is the filling, but I can't tell you what it is.
It might be some sort of chicken, I'm not too sure.
Oh, oh, oh, oh.
It's really nice. The oven-baked ones are nice.
It's a different twist. It's like very, very full.
It's like a sort of slightly flaky pastry,
but I do still feel like these are just the classics.
I'm going to cut these in half because I mean I don't want
to eat one that there's not another of.
So I want to make sure George gets the equal part.
See that one, I have no idea.
Ah, yes I do.
This one is the potato, onion and bacon.
And I'm going to dip that in this sauce.
Again, don't know what the sauce is.
Maybe garlic?
Mmm, that is such, mmm.
That is exactly how I remember them, that's incredible.
So other than the famous pierogies,
we did order another dish, which is a starter.
And they were called like pastry braids.
They said extra buttery covered in cheese.
Cheese, so I mean, what's not to like?
Comes with this sauce.
I'm just going to look at the cheese on here.
It's like covered in Parmesan.
I don't know what the sauce, is it smoked?
Oh, did I not?
It looks so good over the edge.
Look at that, in this.
George, you're just losing it all.
Oh, yeah, smoked cheese sauce, I think.
I think you'll like this one as well.
Let me just, without being too messy, hopefully.
I don't know.
Mmm, that is so good.
That cheese sauce is incredible.
Remy's loving the potato pancakes.
This is good food for kids, actually, Polish food.
It's like kid friendly.
Yeah.
Wow, that is just delicious.
That is just, the pastry is unbelievable.
So, so good.
Wow, beautiful dinner, really.
Really delicious dinner in that place.
We ordered a bit too much, but we ate it all.
We kind of just wanted a quick dinner tonight
because really for us, we need to get back to the hotel,
get to bed, wake up in the morning,
couple of minutes of vlog time for you guys.
I've got permission to show you for two seconds
before he's demanding it back, so.
Amazing, so get onto that in a second.
Yeah, we need to get some sleep and wake up.
Because the rest of this vlog is going
to be exploring properly tomorrow.
But dinner was excellent.
Expensive. It was 70 British pounds.
But look where we are. We're right in the center.
We're right in such a beautiful spot.
It's a well-rated place. It's a busy place.
And the food was top quality.
And four of us were eating, so not too bad.
I mean, we didn't really know what to expect price-wise
and we didn't work it out before we ordered.
We just ordered what we wanted.
I have to say, George, you picked a really bad time
to vlog.
Why?
Because the ice creams are going.
The ice creams are getting smaller quickly.
What is not expensive is this ice cream, this place,
which had a queue coming right down to here earlier.
It's died down a little bit now.
Three euros.
for two ice creams, like delicious gelato, mixed flavor.
We went for this one and this one on a cone.
And yeah, there really is not much left for me, is there?
Yeah, I know.
That's quick.
Thank you.
I haven't had any yet, darling.
Okay, it's now the next day,
and we are heading out for something very important
this morning, which is coffee, because.
you know and we've found a coffee shop we've got
an app called European Coffee Trip and it basically
tells us where all the actual good coffee shops
are because the amount of coffee shops that say
specialty coffee on the front of them
but they're not very good we do love a good coffee and we found
hopefully what looks like a very nice coffee shop
to have our first coffee this morning
so this place is called Kioso Specialty
espresso cheers cheers it's nice it is nice
The only thing for me is I found this last time.
Last time in Poland, I noticed it and I've noticed it here.
They use UHT milk, so kind of carton long life milk.
So I do wonder if we will be able to find
a coffee shop that uses like fresh milk.
It's just like that UHT taste.
I find it a shame that the coffee is so good because the coffee
scene here is good. There are so many good looking
coffee shops here. If you're new to the vlogs,
this is probably sounding silly to you
but I'm very much into my coffee and to me it's like
they let the beans down by using UHT milk.
It's just me. It's just personal preference
kind of thing. Probably doesn't matter to a lot of people
but it's nice coffee. It's good.
We are on our way now to a viewpoint where we're going
to get an incredible view of pretty much the whole city.
Oh, Remy drops his toy.
Here it is.
I got it.
Don't worry.
That's not underneath, Webb.
It's a bit, uh, it looks all right. It's good.
So I remember this last time from our visit to Poland
that there are kids parks absolutely everywhere,
which is so convenient for us. So we were on our
way to the viewpoint, which we are heading to in a minute,
and we're able to get a little bit of
entertainment in for the kids,
which as parents traveling just helps out so much because a lot
of the stuff we plan, like little coffee stops,
restaurants, food spots, things to see, viewpoints,
necessarily aimed at kids so when we travel we do try
and put as much stuff in for them as well
as we can and when you don't have to plan
that and you just stumble across a great park.
They're all really good as well.
They're clean and, I don't know, in parks in the UK,
a lot of them have, like, graffiti and they're really old.
But right now here, this is really nice
and clean and well-maintained and everything.
So it's just great to see that.
Okay, we're now in the main square area.
The main square area, if you will.
Yeah, I love it here.
All the colourful buildings.
We saw it last night, you'll see it in the video.
Well, earlier on in this video, actually.
We don't normally split videos over two days.
We usually film a video a day.
But we thought, because we didn't actually
plan to do as much as we did yesterday,
we planned to sort of have a bit of dinner and go to bed.
But we ended up exploring for a while.
Couldn't resist.
So yeah, you've got a two day vlog.
I love these colourful buildings so much.
We're heading to this place called Bridge of,
begins with a P, Penitence, Penitence.
And we are gonna, yeah, hopefully get these amazing views.
I've seen a couple of pictures,
but my only worry is we've got the buggy with us
and obviously it's loads of steps.
We're not gonna be able to bring the buggy.
So I think we're just gonna have to leave it
at the bottom of the steps and just hope for the best.
I don't know, I'm guessing other families
do this so we can't be the only ones and we're
going to see how we get on.
But yeah, super excited to see these views,
it's heating up, the day is getting warmer
by the second and all these restaurants
are starting to open up, getting ready for their
early lunches and stuff.
It's so much quieter than it was here
last night but what a beautiful place.
I'm really blown away actually,
I didn't expect it to be quite this lovely and grand and it
kind of ticks every box really.
It's got the architecture, the history,
the colourful buildings, the amazing brickwork,
the cobbled streets but then there's also lots of stuff to do as well.
So it's not just like something you look at,
there's stuff to go and see and do.
So I really, really like it here.
And I'm so glad we picked this place.
We actually just sort of put into Skyscanner London too,
and then it suggested Poland.
And then we sort of looked down the list
and this one sort of, I think it was number one on the list.
It was sort of by chance that we've ended up here.
And also when we were in Krakow,
a lot of people commented saying we should come here.
We should go to Gdansk, Gdansk, a lot of people said.
And there was one other place, I can't remember.
I'd quite like to see some sort of Polish countryside
at some point, cause I've seen pictures
and that looks really beautiful.
But yeah, any recommendations
It's always welcome in the comments.
All right we have just seen the bridge that we're gonna try
and get up we're definitely I don't know
one at a time with one of the boys maybe I don't know.
If I get a zoom on this we can see the bridge
above Lucy's head. The bridge of my nose. Yeah nice.
Are you excited? Well it's a lot of steps with this
big lump on me so I'm not sure. Still fully zoomed in by the way.
Oh great. I do look similar to my
Alright, step one, how are you feeling?
It's hot already.
Oh, twisted my ankle.
Oh yeah, we've done the first 10.
Gaining some height now.
And the stairs go see-through.
They're like metal grate stairs.
So you can now see where you've come from.
We're getting there.
Over halfway.
Wow, okay.
That's where we got pictures this morning, I think.
Is it?
So cool.
It's lovely, isn't it? Amazing. It's so high up.
Wow, that wasn't as bad as we made it out to be in our minds.
Nice little hill climb.
What's the matter for you?
Yeah, Remy. You had him to carry. I had him to carry.
But we got there. Stunning view.
Thank you, yeah.
Very cool.
Definitely not, darling. We can't lift anyone up here.
And now all good things... No, what's the phrase?
All things that go up... Everything that goes up must come down.
Doesn't sound right in my head, but I think that's the phrase.
So we've got to walk back down now.
Carry you all the way down.
Wow.
Um.
We are just taking a stroll now just looking around it
is so vast here everything's quite
big and you you're in one big square
and then you go down another road and then another big square
opens up but right this place now
which is Lucy will tell you more about it but it's a
place we've specifically come
to see i'm just walking through
The buildings here are just so nice.
If you're not into buildings things, apologies,
but we like a nice building, good looking building.
these pillars now wow
We have enough buildings in England
that don't look too nice.
And like the small towns and stuff,
a lot of leftover from the seventies.
So to see stuff like this is very nice for us.
But I keep reaching to get my phone out of my pocket
because everywhere you look,
there's just like a photo opportunity
or something that looks nice like this behind me here.
Just that, just looks so nice, I think.
Everyone here is taking photos.
It's hard to tell if it's Polish people out and about here or tourists.
I guess it's a mixture of everything.
It's a Monday here right now, and it's not that busy.
It's nice and quiet.
We're in that square.
We just walked through where we had dinner last night,
and it's really not too busy at all.
It's just nice to stroll through.
There's a little breeze.
It is warm, but what it doesn't have
is what I was talking about yesterday,
and I wondered because it was Sunday when we arrived,
and then we go into a working week Monday.
It doesn't have that kind of hustle-bustle work.
day corporate feel at all whether
or not it's just the area this main area that we're in which is like
the restaurant stuff i don't know if there's offices
and corporate stuff around but London for
example feels very different on a weekend
and then monday hits and it's like everyone in suits
walking around as fast as they possibly can
but i'm not getting that here people are still kind
of strolling so it's making me wonder there's families out
and things so making me wonder if
it is a lot of tourists
in this particular area maybe coffee shop number two of the day el gato
Coffee Roasters.
Hey look!
that building's like the yellow bricks. oh
yeah such colorful buildings here so nice
So we've seen another couple in here have this whipped cream horn
so she literally gets this and
then squirts cream inside. I've never seen anything like it before
but it looks quite cool. A croissant
that's now broken in half for the boys.
I ordered like an iced lemonade thing. I'm so hot. Carrying
Remy is just like a workout in itself but it keeps them happy,
it keeps me fit, it's a little good
and Jordy's got a nice coffee
so nice little much needed air con break. Okay the drinks have
arrived. We've got my iced americano
with a double espresso from Costa Rica. That is so good.
i asked again about the milk and they use UHT as well
so i'd rather have an americano and because
it's so hot iced americano delicious
and then lucy got this lemonade that they make oh that's perfect
that is just right not too sweet it's not sugary at all
but also not too bitter delicious
poland poland poland what are you doing to me this is boiling hot
Very, very warm.
So we're filming this, when you're watching this,
it's slightly later in the year,
but these vlogs have actually been filmed back in summer.
Take a little time machine with us,
back to the nice weather.
But last time we visited Poland, maybe Lucy said all this,
it was cold.
So we were not, I mean, we were expecting it
because we checked the weather before coming out here
and it said anywhere from 25 to 30 degrees.
I think over 30 tomorrow whilst we're here.
It's hot.
It's hot for doing like 10,000 steps a day,
15,000 steps a day, walking around the city.
Can't complain, can't do that classic British thing
of complaining when it's too hot,
complaining when it's raining, complaining just generally all around.
We're not going to do that.
We're going to keep it positive around here.
But now we are off.
Lucy is wandering into a tourist information centre.
Around the city, they have all these gnomes
and it's like a geocaching kind of thing.
And all the kids and adults as well have these maps
and they're going around
and there's these small gnomes, we filmed some of them already.
Loads of people are doing it.
And you can get a map in here which shows where they all are
and you can kind of tick them off as you go around.
I guess it's similar to like when we were in Krakow,
we noticed that dragons were like a theme,
like one of the main themes there,
and dragons were absolutely everywhere.
Here, it's gnomes.
So, 29 zloty, and you get this map too,
did you say dragon map?
No, no.
You mean gnome, you're getting Krakow mixed up,
aren't you? I mean gnomes.
We were talking about dragons a minute ago.
And I also got a garlic grater.
Never heard of one, it's like a little strip,
and you can grate your, I'll show you later.
Yeah, this is it, gnome map. This is your gnome map.
he said he said i know let's go let's walk to the other town
and get some dragons oh i think it's
a bit more than a little bit far away it's
not too far it's like not the other thing it's quite
far it's not a walk away
but anyway let's have a look at this so you get a map and then stickers
and then when you see the gnome i mean it would have
been handy to do this at the start of our
trip not the whole day in are you going
to be in control of the map whoa what whoa
So many. The map's on the other side I think.
So on our way
to our boat trip we have just come
across something we did want to see here
which is just can't even get your head around it this wall
these are bullet holes from World War II.
My four-year-old son is explaining it to me. Yeah just
real real life history here.
That is just yeah weird just hard to think about but it's still here
You know, it's just, yeah.
Okay, next on the agenda, we have booked a boat cruise.
cruise because I think we mentioned at the start,
this place is like full of little islands
and bridges everywhere and it will
connect. We've only really seen the inland bit yet.
This is the first sight of water we've had
and we're picking up our little boat
here. Actually, I don't know which boat it is. It's a few along here.
And then we're going to see, yeah,
it's like a 45 minute boat ride across all
the different parts of the city.
So I'm really looking forward to it. I love the water. I love boats.
And I think it's going
to be a nice way to get a different perspective of
exactly where we are and get our bearings a little bit.
Look at that little boat behind us.
It's called Malibu. How nice is that? Very nice. Okay.
Let's figure out which boat we need to...
Time to get on, so beautiful here, isn't it?
It's amazing.
Wow.
You've blown me away a bit.
Ah, see this is what I signed up for, a boat cruise.
Because we have the most chilled seating position here.
So I've got my own sofa here, Lucy, Remy and Koda have got theirs.
And I can just stretch out, enjoy,
maybe they'll bring around some drinks, I don't know.
And they were expecting us, very chilled thing,
I had my app out ready with our booking.
But she was, I went up to the lady, she was like, George?
Yes, George.
Four people? Yes.
this way please and just straight on.
It's nice and easy so we're going to take a little 45 minute
river cruise
through
the old town.
Okay we've
been back to
the room we've
freshened
up we've
excuse me freshened up um i don't think we've spoken since
the boat cruise it was really good
about 45 minutes um there was an audio guide you could download
but it was quite nice that you didn't like
Some stuff like that can be quite touristy
and it can be quite like a loud commentary of where
you're going for the sightseeing and stuff
which is really great but also youngest was asleep on me
and it was just quite relaxed and it wasn't too loud it
was just like you could hear the water
and it was just cruising by looking at stuff
and I was on my phone like figuring out what was what
quite a few times but not having like
an audio guide where it makes it feel a bit more set up
and we prefer things that feel a bit more like
real like just taking a little boat down the river
yeah it was great and I'd really recommend it
so yeah we've gone back to the room had a little
We had a little freshen up and we've come back
It's now half past six.
5.30 UK time, so yeah, dinner time, perfect.
We've come to Iggy, Iggy's, just Iggy I think, Iggy Pizza.
Really well rated pizza restaurant, we quite fancy that.
And to be honest, I don't know what it is,
but Polish food has got to be the most filling food in the world
because we ate like, when was our lunch,
like 1 o'clock and it's now half 6.
So a long time ago, I'm not even that hungry.
So we've ordered a couple of pizzas to share.
I'm half expecting to be taking some back
to the room with us to have maybe for tomorrow
at some point for the boys or something when they wake up.
Because I honestly don't feel that hungry, which is just so weird.
I feel hungry.
I know you feel hungry, darling, but you didn't eat.
that much at lunch that's why you feel hungry
but me and daddy ate so much and
it's really filled me up it's like food
that would fill you up for the whole day
but that makes sense because on the menu it
was like workman's lunch and like all
these different like jobs where you would
be very active and it keeps you
filled up
So it makes perfect sense that it's literally
filled us up for the whole day of sightseeing.
But yeah, no, pizza is ordered.
And then next on the agenda is ice creams.
And then I need to find a little supermarket to maybe buy some fruit
or something for the boys when they wake up in the morning.
Because they get quite hungry before us going down to breakfast.
Because it takes us all a while to get ready and stuff.
But yeah, I'm really hot again.
I felt really good after having had a shower.
But now I feel like I've gone back to how I was.
It was.
Okay, pizza's here.
We've got a salami and a margarita.
They are massive.
Hand-sized for comparison.
They look so good.
I'm not watching.
So good.
It tastes really authentic.
It's authentic, like Italian style pizza,
it's really good, very fresh, it took like
five minutes.
Delicious.
Two thumbs up.
Although it kind of looks awful now.
It looked good a minute.
I think I filmed before.
I was watching a Casey Neistat vlog the other day,
fellow YouTuber, you know,
and he was talking about the heat in New York City and how historically
the fire brigade have opened up the fire hydrants for people
just to, like, cool down in the street and stuff.
You can ask them to do it.
And it is happening in this city, too.
And the lighting is so nice right now
that we're getting this kind of cool effect.
Sunset.
in the golden hour and people are just kind
of cooling off in the mist oh there's a gnome on top
of it of course there's a gnome on top of it it looks
so cool and then if i go around this side
you'll actually be able to see it how fun
is that an amazing walk out again monday evening
such a chilled vibe keep saying it for this place
but really nice we have come across
A place that sells the most delicious looking donuts
and do we need a donut? No, we don't need a donut.
Of course we don't. Did we need pizza? Not really.
Was it delicious? Yes it was. Will this donut be
delicious that we inevitably buy? Yes it will be, probably.
Should I get a special kind of rose
and then a traditional one to try?
Just try it, get one of each and just try them all. Wow,
I mean look at these, they just look unbelievable.
How good do they look? I can't really get the
scale, maybe with the tongs you can kind of get the scale.
Oh thank you, on a card please. Thank you.
Thank you.
Sorry.
Thank you.
Bye.
Ooh.
Wow.
Right.
So, quick bite of this and then we're going to go get some ice cream.
So this is a pistachio.
Oh, goodness.
Oh, my goodness.
The glaze is like a Krispy Kreme.
Oh, my goodness.
Oh, my goodness.
Is it?
Can I try that one?
Oh, my goodness.
Of course you can.
Oh, my goodness.
Phew, 100%.
Oh, my goodness.
I haven't actually had any pistachio yet,
Oh, my goodness.
Oh, my goodness.
but I've forfeited my donut to my child, which is fine.
Oh, my goodness.
Oh, my goodness.
Oh, my goodness.
How's that, mate?
Oh, my goodness.
Is it good?
Oh, my goodness.
The silence says it all.
Oh, my goodness.
Loosh, that looks so good.
Oh, my goodness.
Oh, my goodness.
See, the cameraman's always forgotten in these situations.
Oh, my goodness.
Very rarely do you see food pass behind the camera.
And it's gone back in the bag.
And then the rose jam is taking off for the team here.
Yeah, of course you are.
Oh.
You wanna try the rose jam?
Okay, we are gonna end this vlog off here
with a little taste of this.
The texture's perfect.
Beautiful ice cream.
Mm, that's perfect.
Feels like there's actual pieces of chocolate in that
from this place called, I thought it said Polish Lady,
Polish Lody or Lody.
Again, comment below, how do we say that?
Lody or Lody or something completely different?
Let us know.
Unbelievable, we got one more flavor to try.
We got a little pistachio number down here.
Oh, let's try.
Potentially the best ice cream I've ever had.
It actually could be.
Right, we're going to end off this vlog.
We are going back to the hotel room, back to bed.
Not back to bed, but to bed
for another day of exploring tomorrow.
