AI GeneratedThe Detroit Pistons are seeing a surge of excitement surrounding second-year player Chaz Lanier's dominant Summer League performance and the appointment of head coach JB Bickerstaff as an assistant coach for Team USA. These developments signal a positive trajectory for the organization's talent development and coaching prestige.
What a Detroit Pistons second-year player is currently doing in the Summer League is too loud to ignore
as we get a look at one player in particular looking like an absolute hidden gem.
For the Pistons heading into next season, we're going to break down everything you need to know
on this former second-round pick in Chaz Lanier as he continues to put up insane numbers in the
Summer League, showing a bright future for the young guard pushing forward, plus a big update
on JV Bickerstaff being named as a part of the coaching staff heading into the Olympics.
We're going to break down everything you need to know on these two updates, plus so much more
before we get into it. I want to give a huge shout out to absolutely everyone watching. A sincere thank
you to everyone that's been supporting the channel. We're trying to reach our goal of 3,000 subscribers,
so if you're part of the almost 86% that haven't hit the free subscribe button yet, but you want

world, plus it's completely free, and you get to stay up to date on the team. Now before we get
into this one player that's absolutely dominating during the Summer League, showing a legitimate
piece, pushing forward for the Detroit Pistons, I did want to dive into a report dropped by Shams
today. Going into the USA basketball, it's expected to name OKC's head coach, Detroit Pistons head
coach, JB Bickerstaff as a part of the assistant coach for the national team behind Eric Spolstra.
Now looking at JB Bickerstaff, I think it's underrated on how much JB has truly turned this
team around, and of course Cade Cunningham getting to an MVP level status, Jalen Dern being an all-star
before the playoffs, and multiple other players taking that next step is a huge part of it, but
JB Bickerstaff and what he's done for this organization just shows the bright future of
not only the players, but this coaching staff moving forward as the Pistons look to win a
Now diving into JB Bickerstaff, that was with the disgusting Cleveland Cavaliers at one point,
but over the past two years, the growth this team has seen has been truly remarkable.
Once the laughing stock of the NBA followed up in the first season with JB behind the bench,
44 wins, 38 losses, for an impressive 53.7% win rate. Now looking at this past season,
60 wins, 22 losses, 73% win rate across the NBA, of course falling short in the second round in
Game 7 after going 7-7, this just shows what JB Bickerstaff has truly done with this young team
and what the growth of this organization with new players, returning players, exactly what he's
building is a key to success on exactly why fans should be fired up on why JB Bickerstaff is behind
the bench, and of course, the prestigious announcement that he's going to join Team
USA as an assistant coach behind Spoh, and hey, maybe a head coach someday when Spoh finishes up.
But fans, let me know your thoughts on JB Bickerstaff. What do you think the true meaning
of him being the head coach is? Let me know down in the comments, but I do want to give a huge
shout out to the sponsor of today's video, which is PrizePix. PrizePix is America's number one
sports pick up and the best way to get into the action. We'll dive into some crazy picks and even
crazier promotions later on in the episode, but make sure to check out PrizePix using the link

Digest on your screen right there, as not only does that help the channel a bunch, but new users
get $50 instantly in your lineup when you play your first five, and we'll dive into even more
with PrizePix later on, but that does go straight into the second topic of a hidden gem within this
organization making a true name for himself. Chaz Lanier in his last two summer league games,
49 points, 15 made threes. Insane. What we're seeing out of Chaz Lanier, who had five threes
in the first seven minutes of game two of this summer league, is just showing the bright future
this young guard has in a team that desperately wants to continue adding shooting to an already
incredible core. People forget the Pistons have other elite shooters waiting in the wings behind
Kevin Hurter, Isaiah Joe, and potentially Duncan Robinson. If he returns, Chaz Lanier is going to
make a living from beyond the arc, 16 threes in just 11 summer league quarters, and diving farther
into it. It's not only the fact that he's hitting it, but this is not a normal release. Pistons are
going to have carve out minutes for Chaz Lanier. Now looking to Chaz Lanier, of course, not getting
a lot of burn last season with the Detroit Pistons, but showing out in the summer league. If watching
the highlights, this man cannot miss from three. He looks like prime Klay Thompson out there.
From beyond the arc, looking at Chaz Lanier and what he brings to this team shows once again
another young inspiring piece that we've seen with Jenkins. Step into the lineup last year and carve
out a legitimate role. 25 years old, 2.1 million dollar cap it, going into next year locked up as
well, and then following up with the team option before UFA at 28, non-guaranteed, fully guaranteed
in 27-28. What we're seeing at Chaz Lanier is a very good young and cheap, the key word of cheap,
piece to push forward within this Pistons organization, and of course, it's not going
to be easy to get into the lineup. You went out to add multiple guys, Ibuko Torre, a very fast
and exciting guard in the draft, Isaiah Joe, you had in a trade John Collins, of course Chaz Lanier
will not take those minutes. Kevin Herter came back to the organization, Gary Harris. This is
now a team that's adding not only veterans, but legitimate shooting around Cade Cunningham and
their key players in the Sarah Thompson and Jalen Duren. But with Chaz Lanier, it's going to be
exciting to see how he continues to push through, and if he can get a legitimate role within this
team, maybe making someone extendable within the organization. Maybe this is Kevin Herter,
maybe this is Duncan Robinson, but the biggest thing with Chaz Lanier, and of course the minutes
aren't going to back up my statement here, as the 6'3 24 year old guard didn't play a lot of time
in the NBA 16 total minutes last year, but looking at the averages 28% from three, of course again a
small sample size, getting a lot of minutes, or chucked up in those minutes, Chaz Lanier is a very
young player. He hasn't been in the NBA for quite some time, just drafted two seasons ago, but this
is a player that is super inspiring when looking at what he can bring to the team, and I mean looking
at the rest of the summer league. Of course it's not over, there's another game coming Wednesday,
when you're watching this, this could be on right now, but with this new team and pushing forward,
I'm excited to see how he kind of curves the role. Now there's a lot of players that are of course
ahead of Chaz Lanier, when looking at the depth of this team when it comes to shooting, I mean the
first one to come to mind, Duncan Robinson, an elite shooter, someone that works perfect next
to Cade Cunningham, is going to be a player that's going to be very hard, and probably not taken out
of the lineup for Chaz Lanier, shooting 45 from 3, 41% from 3 last season. Diving even farther,
Kevin Herter, a very interesting moment, that extension everyone was a little surprised about.
The big thing with Kevin Herter is we've seen some good defensive stops by him, he can be that
third primary ball handler coming off the bench, but the big thing with Kevin Herter is getting
back to the roots of what we've seen him do with the Sacramento Kings before joining the Bulls,
and struggling mightily where we did see him join this team at trade deadline, shooting 31% from 3,
got his groove going towards the end of the season before of course being injured, but the biggest
thing is now is I believe Chaz Lanier is biting at the heels of Kevin Herter and legitimately
scaring some of these guys when you're looking at how he's performing. Again, if you're looking at
the shooting by Kevin Herter once, 33% last year, 36% the year previous, 40% with the Sacramento
Kings, if Kevin Herter can get back to this, we love it. 15 points coming off the bench, shooting
40%, shooting 72% from the line, and 61% true shooting, this is what you want, but I think Chaz
Lanier is a guy truly making the pushes behind all these guys, and let me know down in the comments,
do you think Chaz Lanier carved out a role? Do you think you'd rather another year of him working
with the crews, getting into the organization? Let me know your thoughts down in the comments,
because I love reading through each and every one of them, but before we close today, I want to give
a huge shout out to, once again, the sponsor of this video, which is PrizePix, America's number
