And I think Being able to have someone who has had success against the Wilds in their career Essentially going to a division rival You have to make sure that doesn't happen. Bill Guerin did that You see this here from Stat News. Blake Coleman has 4 goals, 6 assists, and a plus-minus of a plus-1 in 19 games against the Wilds in his career. Now There's one thing that was recently said By Jeff Passon in the MLB. For those who don't know Jeff Passon, top MLB analyst He said something very interesting. When I saw it, I thought this immediately applied to this Specific scenario. This is what he had to say. The opportunity to not only add Scooble to the rotation But prevent the chance of having to face him in a crucial game is tantalizing. And obviously he was talking about the Dodgers here Being able to get Scooble, but that also applies to really any other scenario We saw a playoff series against the Dallas Stars this year. Very, very close series. Very tight series. The Wilds did come out of it But if someone like Blake Coleman, who has had success in the past Against this Wilds team signs to Colorado, Dallas Stars, and you meet these guys in the playoffs, that's not something you want to see So adding Blake Coleman will not only help your team out Especially given his offensive ability, what we've seen over the past couple of seasons, his leadership, his experience in big moments and big games Having that on your team rather than facing him in those scenarios is going to be Even more important than what anything on the stat sheet could ever show. And you know, whether or not Bill Guerin knew Beforehand that there was a chance the Dallas Stars were in on him I'm not too sure But I think there was some sort of inkling there that you see a guy like Blake Coleman, who's on the trade block, a team Like the Dallas Stars likely going to lose out on some bigger names. Of course, they've traded a few already. Jason Robertson There's a lot of uncertainty there Wilds really came out of here with a massive win, especially looking at what we've seen from Blake Coleman in his career I mean, like it's 34 years old But you look at the experience, two cups with the Tampa Bay Lightning and of course one being traded there, but his playoffs for them Was incredible, you know, we remember those years like it was yesterday Those were crazy seasons for him. And then going to Calgary, multiple years, last year being 35 points, but Flames were not good. Go back 50 points in that past Season in 23, 24. If you can get any, like a sniff of that with this Wild team, you're Walking out of here laughing that you were able to do this to the Dallas Stars. And I mean Anything that you can do to at this point sabotage that Stars team And I mean you look at it right now, if you look at Blake Coleman Throw him on that left side, likely losing out to Jason Robertson, which I'm not gonna say it's confirmed at this point But it certainly seems like it's a possibility. Sam Steele's your number one left winger That's not good. That's really not good And I mean if you were going to look at a team like this, who, you know, why did they move Rupee Hintzman to the wing? You know, you never really know But they are, you know, in a very tough spot when it deals with one player And I think that's why the Wilds were able to make something like this happen and really sabotage once again the Stars opportunity To make this happen.
