It's a rematch for the ages.
Dan Tom here with MMA Junkie W breakdown the main event for UFC 329 between
Conor McGregor and Max Holloway. McGregor who's been out of action for well five years now it
will be looking to do a rematch that will happen back in 2013 quite a while ago 13 years ago and
well they're gonna run it back again with Max Holloway who has had his own career and own
championships since that first meeting so kind of feels right for this fight to happen albeit
kind of out of nowhere. At the time of this video the odds makers and the public are favoring Holloway
in the neighborhood of minus 230 with the comeback on McGregor in the neighborhood of plus 186 as the
underdog. Now that underdog line is probably attracted to betters as money has been trickling
in as the line opened much wider probably due to McGregor's inactivity. As far as some quick stats
go though McGregor is one and one in career rematches whereas Max Holloway is one in three.
Max Holloway is also two and three against UFC level lefties however he's avenged all those
losses but one that one being of course to Conor McGregor. It's going to be really interesting. I
believe directionality will be a key. You can argue that both fighters do their best work when going
forward however I do believe Max is the better fighter off the back foot and off the counter.
There are things that kind of fall apart for McGregor when he has to play that role. That being
said very hard to get McGregor to play that role at least early. So for my breakdown and how I see
the fight going, who I'm siding with, where the value's on and all that good stuff check out my
in-depth breakdown over at MMAJunkie.com where you can find results and more this weekend.
